California's Highway 101 has been left reeling after a massive semi-truck crash in Redwood City on Sunday, leaving several lanes impassable. The California Highway Patrol confirmed that the truck, weighing over its own weight, lost control and flipped onto its side near Marsh Road.
As a result, multiple northbound lanes were closed, with only two of them eventually reopening just after midday. However, officials stress that there's no estimated time for when the last of the remaining lanes will be reopened.
Drivers are being cautioned to remain vigilant on the road and take alternative routes if possible, including El Camino Real or Highway 84 to Haven Road and E. Bayshore Road.
The incident is still unfolding, with officials urging motorists to check back for updates as more information comes to light.
