A 95-year-old grandmother was left shaken after an elderly man broke into her home in Little Hulton, Salford, on Tuesday. The suspect, who is believed to have offered to clean her windows earlier that day, arrived at her doorstep with a sinister motive.
When the 95-year-old woman answered the door, the attacker immediately overpowered her, tying her hands together and demanding cash and her purse. However, his plan was foiled when another woman, who knew the victim, happened upon the scene and confronted the thief.
The would-be robber fled in fear after being confronted by the brave passerby, allowing the police to arrive on the scene and apprehend the suspect. An 80-year-old man is currently in custody for questioning, with officers from Greater Manchester Police (GMP) working to piece together the events surrounding the incident.
While no one was physically injured during the attempted robbery, the elderly woman is understandably shaken by the experience. Officers are providing support to the victim and her family, who are described as "brave" for stepping in and foiling what could have been a much more serious crime.

she's already 95 & he's still trying to take advantage of her? i'm so glad some other woman stepped in & stopped him. and now the police are saying maybe he just wanted to ask about bin collection day lol what a wild story anyway, hope that lady is doing okay after all that trauma 
This 80-year-old dude tries to rob an elderly lady's house and you expect us to just sit back and say "oh well"? It's like the system is broken, folks! First of all, how did this guy even get into her house if she thought he was there to clean her windows? Wasn't that a red flag?!

I'm literally crying happy tears over here, she's a total hero! The cops are doing their thing and trying to figure out what really went down, but I think we can all agree that this dude needs to be brought to justice ASAP
