Ugh, my heart is literally breaking for the people of France
... like what even is the point of these trials? Is it just a never-ending cycle of corruption and power-hungry politicians who think they're above the law?
I mean, Sarkozy was found guilty, released after 20 days (yeah right, like that's even a punishment), and now he's appealing his conviction... what does this say about our justice system?!
And don't even get me started on the timing of these trials... 2025 and we're still dealing with the consequences of Sarkozy's actions in 2007? It feels like Groundhog Day, but instead of Bill Murray, it's just a bunch of powerful people getting away with things.
How can we trust our leaders when they can't even be held accountable for their own corruption?
I'm just so tired of all these high-profile trials and scandals... it's like the rich and powerful are writing the rules and everyone else is just along for the ride.
And what about the Libyan people who suffered at the hands of Gaddafi? Are they not worthy of justice?!
I need a good cry, stat
