A peek inside the Giants’ deal-sealing John Harbaugh dinner: ‘I’ll be back’

🤔 I'm still trying to wrap my head around how effective a dinner date can be in landing a new coach. Like, Joe Schoen walking in and it's already a done deal? 😂 That sounds super casual and cool for the Giants' brass. But seriously, this whole thing just feels like a masterclass in making people happy - Harbaugh seemed to love the food (who doesn't?) and the exclusive vibe at Elia's. It's almost too perfect. Did they really do it all themselves or was there some other magic at play? 🤷‍♂️ Also, I wonder if this new head coach is going to bring any actual changes to the team... we'll just have to wait and see 💭

It's crazy how far back the Giants' tradition of hooking up with new coaches goes 🤯. I remember when they used to rent out some dive bar or something for these pre-draft meetings, but now it seems like they're treating them to fancy dinners at Elia Mediterranean Restaurant. It's all about creating an exclusive experience and making the coach feel special. The team's willingness to splurge on their new head coach is a nice touch 🍴, especially after those infamous 'dungeon' days under Bill Parcells. I guess you could say they're trying to upgrade from that whole " rough-around-the-edges" vibe to something more refined and luxurious 💼. It'll be interesting to see how John Harbaugh's new gig shakes out for the Giants 🤔.

I'm just gonna say it... who needs all this fancy schmancy dinner-and-wine thingy? I mean, sure, it's cool that they're trying to make a good impression and cater to the coach's tastes, but is it really necessary? Can't they just have a casual lunch like everyone else?

I'm also kinda wondering what's up with the wine cellar private viewing. Like, isn't that just a fancy way of saying "we want to show off our expensive wine collection"? And what's with all the fuss about the appetizers? Is it really worth going to some exclusive restaurant for grilled octopus and Saganaki?

And let's be real, I'm not buying into the whole "this is how you seal the deal" vibe. I bet John Harbaugh was just being nice and saying he'd be back to keep them off his case.
