You be the judge: take part in our live event

The Guardian is hosting a live event called "You be the judge" where readers can share their domestic disputes for public arbitration. The twist this time around is that one real dispute will be brought to life on stage, with a panel of writers and the audience as the arbiters.

If you've had a quarrel that's been ongoing for far too long, or a disagreement that just won't quit, now's your chance to share it all with the world. Just make sure both parties are on board, because this is a joint effort. The Guardian will provide a £100 gift card to Trullo and a copy of Tim Siadatan's new cookbook Padella for each participant.

The event takes place in London on November 26th as part of an evening of Guardian culture with several notable writers. To apply, simply fill out the form online, but be warned: the deadline is November 10th, so don't wait too long to make your move.

Before you submit, take a minute to review the terms and conditions. The information will only be used for the purposes of the live event, and any personal data will be deleted once the event is over. But don't worry – your responses are safe and secure, thanks to encryption and access controls that ensure only the Guardian can see what you've shared.

Just one caveat: this event is open only to people in the UK who are willing to travel to London for the live event. So if you're up for a chance to air your grievances in front of an audience and a panel of experts, grab your pen and paper – or rather, your phone and your willingness to share!

🤔 I'm curious about this "You be the judge" thing. Like, why would people want to air their dirty laundry in public? 😂 Don't get me wrong, it's a cool idea for drama and all, but can you imagine if it were real life? 😳 It'd be like, a never-ending soap opera! 📺 Would the £100 gift card and cookbook be enough to make people spill the tea? 🍰👀 I'm also wondering how they'll moderate the comments section. Will there be any trolls? 🤷‍♀️💬

🤝 this is so cool 📺 i love the idea of sharing personal disputes on stage 😬 it's like therapy but public 🤣 imagine watching your own argument play out live on tv 🎥 the twist that one real dispute will be brought to life is genius 💡 and £100 gift card to Trullo? 🤑 who wouldn't want that! 🍰 i'm thinking of applying myself 📝 just gotta convince my partner 🤔 to join in too 😜 november 26th can't come soon enough ⏰

think about it, a public forum where people can settle their disputes once and for all 🤔... sounds kinda relieving. but also kinda intense. £100 gift card and a cookbook? not bad, i guess. just hope the whole thing doesn't go south on stage 😬. might be interesting to see how things play out in front of an audience. what's the worst that could happen, right? 🤷‍♂️

OMG u gotta try dis lol!!! 🤯 I mean seriously tho, its such a dope idea to get ppl 2 share their disputes like that. I had a friend who was always fighting w/ her sis about somethin 2 trivial, & now she's finally gonna get a chance 2 sort it out in front of a crowd! 🙌 And omg yeah, the prize is LIT 💸 £100 gift card 2 Trullo?! Padella cookbook? 😍

But seriously tho, its such an interesting concept. I think it'd be super enlightening 2 see how ppl work thru their conflicts in front of others. & the fact that its on stage w/ a live panel & audience is just gonna make it so much more intense lol! 💥 So if u got a dispute that's been eatin away at u, NOW'S THE TIME 🕰️!

I'm low-key intrigued by this whole "You be the judge" thing 🤔. It's like they're taking that old show 'Judge Judy' concept and turning it into a live event. I mean, who wouldn't want to see their drama unfold on stage? It's like a real-life 'The Office' episode, but instead of Michael Scott being the crazy one, it's YOU trying to get your point across 📺.

But what really gets me is how they're making it all about collaboration and resolution. Like, if you've been going back and forth with someone for ages, this could be the chance to finally work things out. It's like that scene from 'The Break-Up' where Jennifer Aniston's character meets Adam Sandler's character at a bar and it all just magically works out 🍻.

I'm not sure if I'd want to share my own drama with the world, though 😅. But for people who are stuck in that never-ending cycle of arguing, this could be a game-changer. And hey, who knows? You might even learn something about yourself and your partner (if you have one) 🤷‍♀️.

So yeah, I'd definitely consider signing up if I were you! Just don't expect me to be the one stepping onto that stage anytime soon 😂.

OMG this is gonna be SO interesting 💥🤯 I've been watching a lot of domestic drama unfold on social media lately and it's crazy how many people have been bottling up their feelings for way too long. This event could be like a breath of fresh air, where people can finally get some resolution without having to take sides or pick a fight 🙅‍♀️. The Guardian is being super cool with the whole encryption thing, so you can rest assured your stories will stay safe 🔒.

I'm thinking of applying myself, had a huge falling out with my bestie last year and we're still trying to work things out 🤷‍♀️. It's gonna be wild seeing these disputes come to life on stage though, with all the drama and tension 🎭. Wish me luck! 💕

omg i think this is so cool!!! 🤯📝 did u know that 75% of people who've had a long-standing dispute have considered seeking mediation? 📊 but with this event, they get to be the judge themselves!!! 😄 and it's not just about resolving the issue, but also about sharing your story with others!

i also noticed that 60% of people in relationships are more likely to resolve their conflicts when both parties feel heard 🗣️ so i hope whoever submits gets a chance to have an open and honest convo. 💬

OMG I'm like totally curious about this...if u have a super annoying domestic dispute that's been going on forever & u just wanna scream, is it gonna be really awkward sharing it out loud? 🤔👀 what if the other person shows up and they don't get along with the audience or the writers? 😬 also, is it true that only ppl in the UK can attend? like, what about people who live abroad who wanna share their drama too? shouldn't there be a way to do this online too? 🤷‍♀️

I think this is a pretty cool idea, you know? Like, who wouldn't want to get their beef out in the open like that 🤷‍♀️. But at the same time, I'm not sure how it'll play out live on stage... like, what if one of the parties just can't handle the scrutiny? 🤔 Still, I think it's a great way for people to finally get closure and move on from those pesky domestic disputes 💖. And hey, who knows, maybe it'll even help them find common ground 🌈. Just gotta make sure both sides are cool with going through this process, you feel? ⚠️

I'M SO DOWN FOR THIS EVENT!!! IT'S LIKE, FINALLY A Platform WHERE PEOPLE CAN TALK OUT THEIR ISSUES IN FRONT OF SOMEONE ELSE'S EYES (BESIDES THEIR OWN). I MEAN, WHO WOULDN'T WANT TO HEAR THEIR SIDE OF THE STORY IN A REAL-LIFE SETTING?! AND GETTING £100 GIFT CARD AND A COOKBOOK TO BOOT IS JUST THE BONUS! BUT FOR REAL, IT'S ALL ABOUT FINDING A SOLUTION TO THOSE ONGOING DISPUTES, YOU KNOW?

This whole thing feels off... 🤔 I mean, what's really going on here? The Guardian wants you to spill all the tea about your domestic disputes, but it's not like they're doing this out of the goodness of their hearts. There's gotta be something in it for them... Maybe they're just trying to stir up some drama and get people talking? And what's with the £100 gift card and free cookbook? Is that even a convincing way to lure people into sharing their deepest secrets? 🤑 I'm not buying it. The fact that only UK residents are allowed to participate also raises some red flags... What about people who can't make it to London or don't have the resources? It's just another example of the elite playing favorites. I'll be keeping a close eye on this one, that's for sure! 👀

💡 This is gonna be wild. I've had my fair share of annoying neighbors and frustrating family members, but I never thought I'd get paid (well, not really paid, but you get a nice gift card) to air my grievances in public. The idea that one real dispute will be brought to life on stage is crazy. It's like a twisted version of "The Real World"... minus the drama and plus a free cookbook 🍝

I'm all about people finding closure and resolution, especially when it comes to long-standing domestic disputes. I think "You be the judge" is a genius idea – who wouldn't want their chance to air those grievances in front of a live audience and some esteemed writers? The added twist of one real dispute being brought to life on stage takes it to a whole new level! 🤯

As long as both parties are cool with sharing their story, I think this is an amazing opportunity for people to finally get some peace. £100 gift card and a cookbook? That's just the cherry on top – who wouldn't want that?! But seriously, this event could be a game-changer for those stuck in limbo.

The security measures are super reassuring, too – no one wants their personal info getting out there. Just make sure you're ready to put yourself (and your ex or whatever) out there and get some answers! And yeah, the deadline is kinda soon, so don't delay, but if you're up for it... then go for it!

🤔 gotta say, sounds like a wild idea... some people might be too proud to just chill with their issues but hey, if you're down for a public showdown 🎭 can't deny it's a great way to clear the air. just hope they get some good stories out of it 💡 and that the £100 gift card is worth more than the drama 😂

😂 2 months late but still worth it! I think this is a genius idea - who wouldn't wanna be the star of their own drama 🤣. For real though, it's amazing how much people will argue over the smallest things... my aunt and I still can't agree on whose turn it is to do the dishes 🙄. The £100 gift card for just showing up and talking about it is a pretty sweet deal too! 💸

OMG u guyz this is gonna b soooo dramatic 🤯 like how r they gonna bring one real dispute 2 life on stage tho? r they gonna reenact the whole thing with actors & all that jazz? i mean i'm down 4 a good argument, but i don't think i can handle seein my own drama playd out like a soap opera 😂. plus how r they gonna make it fair 2 both parties? one gets a £100 gift card & a cookbook 🍰📚, while the other just gets to be in public 🤷‍♀️. u think its gonna b worth travelin all the way 2 London 4? idk lol

I'm so down for this... I mean, who hasn't been stuck in a bad marriage like that couple from 2010? Remember when they got divorced and their lives were totally messed up? Yeah, that's gonna happen again with people now. It's just too much drama. Like, why would anyone want to go on stage and relive their worst moments? I mean, back then, we used to do things like this in family therapy or something, but now it's all about the public eye... ugh. And what's with the £100 gift card to Trullo? Can't they just get a decent takeout deal instead? Anyway, if you're one of those people who can't stop arguing with their spouse, go for it, I guess. Just don't say I didn't warn you... 🤷‍♂️
