WWE 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin celebration by Harry Brook should not be frowned upon, says Joe Root.

English Star Captain Joe Root Has Come Out in Support of Harry Brook After He Mimicked a WWE Wrestler During A Cricket Celebration.

England captain Joe Root has expressed his hope that the recent celebration by his team-mate Harry Brook, which involved mimicking 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin's famous "beer smash" gesture from WWE, will be received with humor.

Brook was involved in a late-night drinking incident earlier this year and had to face disciplinary action. However, he bounced back strongly when he scored a match-winning century against Sri Lanka.

As part of his celebrations, Brook removed his batting gloves, punched them together and then tipped them towards his mouth - a move first made famous by Steve Austin in the WWE wrestling world.

Brook explained that it was a tribute to Austin and also an acknowledgement of his attempts to regain the trust of his team-mates. Meanwhile, Joe Root believes that this gesture is another example of why Brook will be a great captain in white-ball cricket.

idk what's gotten into harry brook lol 🀣 he was always a bit of wild card, but i guess u can say that incident really showed the team his spirit πŸ’ͺ. and joe root being supportive of him is actually pretty cool πŸ‘. it shows that even in the cricket world, u got ur mates having each other's backs. brook definitely had some guts to pull off that wrestling move πŸ€Έβ€β™‚οΈ, but i think he's been doing alright for himself since the incident. maybe now hes got a new persona as the "stone cold" of england cricket πŸ˜‚. anyway, looks like brook's still got it πŸ’₯

I think its hilarious how Harry Brook did that WWE move after scoring a hundred... like who does that?! 🀣 I'm definitely here for it though! It shows he's not afraid to let loose and have fun, even if it was after having a bit of drama earlier in the year. Plus, Joe Root is totally right - guys need to lighten up sometimes and just enjoy the moment. Cricket can be so intense, but we shouldn't forget that its meant to be enjoyed too! And I gotta say, 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin is still an iconic WWE legend πŸ’₯πŸ‘Š

OMG πŸ˜‚πŸ™Œ I think Harry Brook's celebration was so hilarious! 🀣 I mean, who doesn't love WWE? The way he recreated Steve Austin's iconic beer smash move had me cracking up πŸΊπŸ˜‚ And it's really cool to see him using humor to diffuse any tension and regain his team's trust πŸ’ͺ🏽. Plus, Joe Root is totally right - Brook's confidence on the field is what makes him a great player 🀩! I'm so hyped to see how he'll lead England in the upcoming tournaments πŸŽ‰. The way they're both supporting each other and having fun is just the best 🀝🌟.

I gotta say πŸ€”, I love how Brook's just being himself, even after getting into some trouble earlier on ⏰. It's all about owning up to mistakes and learning from them, right? And honestly, who doesn't love a good 'beer smash' πŸ’ͺ? It's infectious energy! Joe Root seems pretty chill with it too 😎. Brook's got this whole 'wrestler vibe' thing going on and I think that's what makes him so lovable to watch πŸ‘. As a captain, he'll definitely bring some fun to the table 🀝. Can't wait to see more of him in action!

I'm so nostalgic for the good old days of WWE 🀘 - remember when wrestling was all about athleticism and theatrics? Nowadays, it's like they're trying to make it edgier with all these celebrity cameos πŸ˜’. But hey, I guess it's nice that Harry Brook is having a bit of fun after his incident. Still, I'm not sure what's more cringeworthy - the 'beer smash' gesture or the fact that Joe Root is defending it like it's the most normal thing πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ. I mean, I remember when cricket celebrations were just about high-fiving and jumping for joy πŸ†, not this WWE-style smackdown nonsense πŸ˜…. Guess times change and we gotta adapt?

idk what's so funny about brook's celebration lol 🀣, it just seems like he's trying too hard to fit in πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ, but at the same time, you gotta admire his confidence and swagger πŸ’ͺ... i mean, taking a shot from sri lanka after getting back from a disciplinary stint is no joke πŸ™Œ... maybe root's right, maybe it does show brook's potential as captain, but also reminds me of when captains try to be like their idols too much πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ, sometimes you just gotta be yourself and not try to fit the mold 🌈

I'm telling ya, something fishy's going on with Harry Brook πŸ€”. I mean, who does this? Suddenly he's all about WWE and Stone Cold Steve Austin... it's like he's trying to distract us from the real issue at hand. And Joe Root is just going along with it, ain't he? It's like they're trying to brainwash us into thinking Brook is some kind of hero πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ. Newsflash: we all know what really happened during that late-night drinking incident πŸ˜’... let's keep our eyes peeled for more hidden agendas! πŸ‘€

idk why root is being so extra about brook's wwe move lol like come on joe, it's just a funny gesture 🀣 and it's not like brook was trying to flex or anything. also, let's give brook some credit, he's been doing amazing in cricket lately and it's awesome that he's having fun with his teammates. but yeah, root needs to chill out about this wwe stuff...

πŸ˜‚ I feel like Joe Root is trying to downplay Harry Brook's late-night antics lol. Like, if it happened with me, I'd be in big trouble! 🀣 But for real though, that 'beer smash' gesture was kinda funny πŸ˜…. I mean, who wouldn't want to see a cricketer do a WWE-style fist pump? 🀩 It's all part of having fun and being himself, right? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

What's up with all these WWE wannabes on the cricket pitch? 🀣 I'm not saying it's a bad move or anything but it just feels like Harry Brook is trying too hard to be cool.

I mean, come on Joe Root can't seriously be backing this guy for captaincy just because he did some silly gesture in celebration. What's next? Is he gonna start doing wrestling moves during the game and get distracted by a fan waving a steel chair? πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

And what about all the other guys on the team who have to deal with Brook's antics? They're supposed to be focused on winning matches, not watching their teammate do a WWE impersonation. It's just gonna cause more drama and tension in the dressing room.

I guess only time will tell if Brook can actually live up to Root's expectations but for now, I'm just waiting to see how this plays out... 😏

I don’t usually comment but... I think it's funny how some people are making a big deal out of Harry Brook's celebration 🀣. Like, yeah he might have mimicked a WWE wrestler but who cares? It's just a lighthearted moment after an amazing win for England! And Joe Root is totally right that it shows Brook's confidence and leadership skills πŸ’ͺ. I mean, if you can bounce back from a disciplinary incident and then lead your team to victory like that, you're definitely going to make a great captain in the future 🌟.

I think Joe Root's response on Harry Brook's celebration is quite astute πŸ€“. It's interesting how Brook's actions were perceived as a way to poke fun at himself and regain the trust of his teammates, rather than being seen as a reckless or unprofessional behavior. I mean, we've all had those moments where we're trying to have a good time, but perhaps got a bit carried away πŸ˜‚. The fact that Brook was able to use this gesture in a lighthearted way and turn it into a positive is a testament to his maturity and ability to read the room. And I think Root's comment about Brook being a great captain in white-ball cricket highlights the importance of having players who can navigate complex social situations with ease and tact 🀝.
