Ugh, can't believe these ICE agents are still using that outdated language
. It's like they're intentionally trying to dehumanize people just so they can push their deportation agenda forward
. And what really gets my goat is when they say "illegal Mexican aliens" - who do they think they are, describing people like that?
I mean, Woody Guthrie wrote this song 80 years ago and it still holds up today. We need to keep pushing for a more humane approach to immigration policy, not just throwing around hurtful words
. And what's with all the new generation of politicians who don't seem to know any better? It's like they're just regurgitating the same old rhetoric without thinking about the consequences
.
Anyway, it's great that Tim Z. Hernandez is doing his thing and keeping the memories of those plane crash victims alive
. And The Intercept needs our support to keep shining a light on these important issues
. Let's keep pushing for press freedom and an end to this deportation nonsense!
OMG have u seen this?! They r still using the same language to describe people being deported like its 1948 all over again 
and its so messed up 
like how can we forget what happened back then? 
dehumanizing them is just not right, especially when ur talking about ppl who were human beings 
u gotta feel for the victims & their families

we need more people like him to speak out against injustice

... what's really sad is that we're still having these conversations 80 years later. It's like, come on people! We've got better words than "alien" or "illegal". It's not that hard to treat humans with respect. I mean, if you're gonna deport someone, at least have the decency to call them by their actual name, not some dehumanizing label 
. Guthrie's song is still powerful today because it highlights how hurtful and unfair these policies are. Can't we learn from history? 
Like, can't we just say human beings instead of reducing them to a label that's meant to be derogatory?!? 
It's like they're trying to erase the humanity from these people who were already treated like animals. I'm so grateful for Tim Z. Hernandez and his work in uncovering the identities of those on board, it's a powerful reminder that we need to keep fighting for the rights of immigrants and marginalized communities!
