I gotta say, Sanna Marin's ouster is a big deal. I mean, she was on top of her game for years, but it looks like the economy just wasn't on her side 
. I'm not surprised that the opposition party jumped all over that, though - when people are struggling to make ends meet, they want someone who's gonna get things done ASAP

i mean we all know finland has a very progressive vibe but still her party dominated politics for years so what went wrong?? 
maybe thats why young folks started voting against her 
. The fact that her team couldn't articulate a clear economic agenda is pretty damning, and it's easy to see how the opposition could capitalize on that 
. On the other hand, I think it's interesting that young Finns were disenchanted with Marin's handling of social issues - it just goes to show that politics isn't always about grand gestures, sometimes it's about listening to what people really want

she was like a total rockstar in finnish politics for ages! but it seems like her econ team was totally whack and couldn't get their act together 
. and yeah, the youth vote is everything right now... marin's party was all like "social issues are soooo important" but the opposite party was more like "we got this, econ and social both"
