I'm really worried about this bird flu outbreak 
... I mean, 182 million birds is just crazy! And it's not like the poultry industry is being completely irresponsible or anything, but I think they're overthinking things here
. Vaccination might have some trade implications, but so what? The thought of all those sick and dying animals (and the people who care for them) isn't exactly a positive economic situation either
... it's just common sense to protect our food supply and workers' safety, you know?
And what really gets me is that we're still debating whether or not to vaccinate
. It seems like the US is playing catch-up on this one
. I mean, France has a national vaccination plan for duck producers... shouldn't we be able to do something similar? This whole thing just feels like a case of prioritizing profits over people
