We checked prices at NYC grocery stores for six months. Here’s what we found.

idk about this price hike... 🤷‍♀️ i mean, yeah prices are up 14% but that's not exactly surprising given the droughts and all 🌾. but what's wild is that grocery stores in low-income neighborhoods are actually paying more than those in richer areas 🤑. like, foodtown is literally cheaper than CTown just a few blocks away? that's messed up 🤦‍♀️. and i feel for these small chains trying to make ends meet... it's all about the supply chain and whatnot 💸.

on the other hand, eggs are literally free-falling in price 🥚, which is kinda awesome? but ground beef is just, ugh... 🤯 how can one thing be so expensive in some places and not others? and h mart's prices are just straight up ridiculous 🤑. i mean, who pays $5 more for whole foods than trader joe's? that's just wild 🤪.

anyway, maybe it's time for these big retailers to get their act together and open up locations in low-income areas 🏢... or not? i mean, maybe they're just trying to cut costs by not having to compete with each other as much 💸. idk, man... just so confused 😂

I'm kinda weirded out by how grocery prices are affecting low-income neighborhoods 🤔. I mean, you'd think that stores would want to cater to the people who need them most, but it seems like big chains just aren't prioritizing those areas enough. Like, Foodtown and CTown had totally different prices for the same stuff in Brooklyn, and Aldi is literally the cheapest place for ground beef 🤑. It's not just about supply and demand, there needs to be more consideration for these communities. And what's up with H Mart going way up in price? It's like they're pricing themselves out of their own store or something 😂. We need some changes here!

Man 😊, can you believe how outta control beef prices are in NYC right now?! 🤯 I mean, $6.62 a pound is crazy talk! And it's not just the price, it's the fact that some low-income neighborhoods are paying way more than others for the same stuff. That's just not fair 🙅‍♂️. I'm glad Aldi is doing its thing and keeping prices super low, but why can't the bigger chains follow suit? They're making bank off of us consumers, but they're not really helping out the communities that need it most.

And don't even get me started on how some stores are playing games with pricing 🤔. H Mart is like 33% more expensive than Trader Joe's? That's just wrong 💸. And what's up with the egg prices going down?! It's like they're trying to make us feel good about our wallets or something 🥚.

Anyway, I guess the moral of the story is to shop around, look for deals, and stock up when prices are low 😊. And for goodness' sake, don't be afraid to freeze some ground beef and eggs when they're on sale! It's like, basic life skills, right? 🤷‍♂️

I cant believe how out of whack the prices are between those fancy Whole Foods and Trader Joe's stores 🤑👀 meanwhile you got areas in Brooklyn that have double the price of food lol what kind of economy is this where a buck50 can get u more beef than it would like 5 yrs ago? Aldi is literally the real MVP tho always got the best deals 🤣
