I mean, can you even imagine being trapped in a massive pileup with no way out? 
The thought of cars going flying everywhere, people screaming for help... it's like something straight out of a horror movie! 
But at the same time, there were people who put themselves in harm's way to try and help others. I think that takes a lot of courage, you know? 
Like, Yamel Angel saw her mom get hurt and she was too scared to move but then she did anyway, just to get some medical attention for them both. That's what I call heroism! 
And can we talk about the fog for a sec?
It was so thick that day it was basically impossible to see anything. Like, how do people not crash into each other when visibility is zero? 
And then there was this one semi-truck that just lost control and slammed into the median... it's like the universe decided to throw everything at once. Anyway, my point is that accidents like this can happen in a split second, and we've gotta be ready for them. We need better roads, more attention from drivers, and some serious help on the way when emergencies happen. Like, who knows what Yamel Angel's experience will do to her? Will she have PTSD or something?
It's just so sad that this happened...
this stuff is just so crazy 
and the worst part is these people were actually trying to help each other 
after they got hurt... i mean, we can all agree that no one deserves to go through something like this 
. And to think it happened because of thick fog 
! How can you even see what's ahead when visibility is that bad? 
The fact that there were good Samaritans trying to help each other though is a huge relief 
. We need more people like that who put others before themselves 
. Anyway, Highway 99 will definitely have some major roadwork done now... 
and honestly, who needs dashcam footage when you've got someone recording everything live on their phone 
? and ugh, the fog was so bad they couldn't even see what was ahead of them... that's like my worst driving nightmare
