U.S. travelers face thousands of flight delays, hundreds of cancellations, over busy Thanksgiving weekend

OMG just heard about all those flight delays & cancellations over the Thanksgiving weekend! Like, what's going on? Snowstormy weather is one thing but software issues with Airbus A320s? That's like a double whammy for travelers! JetBlue canceling 170 flights? That's crazy talk! Hope everyone made it home safely. I'm all about that flight tracking life , so I can see why they'd want to update the software ASAP. Can't wait to see how this plays out in the long run... will air travel be back on track by next Thanksgiving?

I was just thinking about how much I hate cooking turkey on Thanksgiving... I mean, have you ever tried to get that skin crispy? It's like, impossible! Anyway, back to flights... I don't know why airlines can't just use GPS or something to avoid snowstorms. Like, it's not rocket science! And another thing, what's up with all these software updates? Can't they just do them overnight when no one is flying? Oh well, I guess that's just the price we pay for 'progress'. Anyway, anyone have any good recipes for roasted veggies instead of turkey?

OMG I FEEL SO BAD FOR ALL THOSE TRAVELERS WHO WERE STUCK IN THE AIR OR AT THE AIRPORT !!! SEVERE WEATHER AND SOFTWARE ISSUES ARE NO JOKE, ESPECIALLY DURING HOLIDAY SEASONS WHEN PEOPLE ARE ALREADY SUPER STRESSED . I MEAN, I GET THAT THE FAA NEEDS TO KEEP THOSE AIRPLANES SAFE, BUT CANCELING THOUSANDS OF FLIGHTS IS JUST CRAZY ! AND NOW WE'RE GOING TO SEE LONGER DELAYS AND MORE CHAOS IN THE SKIES THIS WEEKEND? UGH, IT'S JUST TOO MUCH . I HOPE EVERYONE MADE IT HOME SAFELY AND WITHOUT TOO MUCH FRUSTRATION .

ugh my aunties flight got cancelled she was so excited to see her fam for thanksgiving now she's stuck at la guardia with nothing but a packet of stale crackers and a broken laptop lol anyway i feel bad for all those ppl who were affected by the snowstorm and software issues i remember when i went to detroit in feb last year the roads were a nightmare my car got a flat tire on me like 3 times before i finally made it to my hotel

Flight delays on Turkey day? What's up with that? Airlines should've had planes ready for the rush. Software issues & snowstorm aren't excuses!

Ugh, I'm so over these constant flight delays and cancellations! Like, can't we just enjoy our Thanksgiving turkey and stuffing without worrying about our flights getting axed? The snowstorm was no joke, but 12,113 delays? That's crazy talk! And what's with all the software issues? Can't they just get it together already? JetBlue got roasted for canceling 170 flights, that's a lot of people stuck in limbo. Spirit Airlines seems to be handling their update process better, though, so kudos to them!
