Typhoon Kalmaegi: death toll rises to 66 as widespread flooding hits central Philippines

🌪️ 66 lives lost to Kalmaegi, just another day in the Philippines 🤕. Why do we keep rebuilding our homes on floodplains? 😩 The government warned us, but did it make a difference? Only 387k evacuated, not enough I'd say 🚨. Emergency responders risk their lives every time, helicopter crash is just a reminder of that 💔. Cebu's state of calamity, good for them, but what about the rest of the country? 🌎 We need better disaster prep, no more excuses 🙄.

ugh, this is so heartbreaking 🤕... like, I'm only reading this because I live in Manila and my aunties are affected by the flooding in Cebu 🌊🏠. seriously tho, 66 people lost their lives? that's crazy! 🙅‍♂️ how many more ppl need to die before we take action 🤔... it's not just about sending emergency funds, but also like, building shelters and infrastructure that can withstand these typhoons 💪. and what's up with the air force helicopter crash? 🚁🛬 was it really necessary to fly into that? so many questions 🤷‍♂️. anyway, my thoughts are with Cebu and all the ppl affected by this disaster 💕... we need more awareness about disaster preparedness and response 📢💪
