Twiztid talk 25th anniversary of ‘Freek Show,’ Fright Fest, Astronomicon, and more - Detroit Metro Times

Detroit hip-hop horrorcore duo Twiztid is gearing up to celebrate a major milestone – the 25th anniversary of their sophomore album, Freek Show. To mark this occasion, the group is embarking on the second leg of its Freek Show tour, which will take them across the east coast until mid-November.

The tour's kick-off event, Fright Fest, will be held at Saint Andrew’s Hall in Detroit on Devil’s Night. This special annual show has become a staple of Twiztid's live performances and is a must-attend for fans of the duo. Fright Fest will feature a unique blend of music, horror-themed decorations, and otherworldly visuals that have come to define Twiztid's brand.

After wrapping up the tour, Twiztid will shift their focus to family-friendly pop-culture convention Astronomicon 9. The event, which takes place on April 10-12 at the Ann Arbor Marriott Ypsilanti at Eagle Crest, promises to be an out-of-this-world experience for fans of science fiction, comic books, and video games.

Tickets for both events are available on Twiztid's official website, allowing fans to immerse themselves in the duo's distinctive blend of horrorcore hip-hop and otherworldly entertainment. With Fright Fest and Astronomicon 9, Twiztid is solidifying its position as a leading force in Detroit's music scene, cementing its legacy as one of the most innovative and eclectic acts in the genre.

25 years of Freek Show... I mean, that's some dedication to weirdness 🤪. Like, who else can make horrorcore hip-hop still cool? Twiztid, that's who. I'm down for a night of Fright Fest at Saint Andrew's Hall - those horror-themed decorations better be on point 🎃. And Astronomicon 9 sounds like a blast from another galaxy... no pun intended 🚀. It's awesome to see them celebrating this milestone and bringing their unique brand of weirdness to fans on the east coast. Bring on the otherworldly visuals and ear-shredding beats!

omg they're really taking the whole freek show thing to the next level! hosting Fright Fest on devil's night is gonna be SO lit 🎃🔪️ i'm low-key hyped for the horrorcore vibes, twiztid's always been one of my favorite artists, but this anniversary tour is gonna take it to a whole new level 🤯 they're really pushing the boundaries with Fright Fest and Astronomicon 9, love how they're mixing music with sci-fi/fan culture 🚀👽

Yooo, I'm low-key hyped for Twiztid's Freek Show tour 🎸🕷️! They're gonna bring that horrorcore hip-hop energy to the east coast and I need it. Fright Fest is always a wild ride, and this year's gonna be especially lit with Devil's Night vibes 🎃👻. But what's up with Astronomicon 9? I mean, I love sci-fi and comic books, but Twiztid's horrorcore thing is so different from that. Are they trying to cater to a new audience or just expand their fanbase? Either way, I'm down to see them geek out and get weird with me 🤖👽

omg i just found out about twiztid 🤯 they sound so cool i love horrorcore hip hop 🎃🕷️ what kind of decorations are they going to have at fright fest? i hope its not too spooky for me lol 😅 i dont think im brave enough for that kinda thing 😂 anyway, it sounds like they have some awesome events planned and i wanna go! 👍 can someone tell me more about twiztid's music? is it any good? 🎵

OMG, I'm so down for Twiztid's Freek Show tour 🤘! They're like, totally repping Detroit's horrorcore hip-hop scene 🦇💀. Fright Fest sounds super lit too, with all that spooky decor and otherworldly vibes... it's gonna be a wild ride 😱🎃. And Astronomicon 9? That's some next-level fandom right there 👽🚀. I'm not sure if I'll make the trip to Michigan for Fright Fest but I'll def be checking out their tunes and merch online 📦💻. Twiztid's legacy is all about pushing boundaries, which is why they're so respected in the music scene 💥🎵. Can't wait to see what they have in store for us!

I'm kinda skeptical about this whole nostalgia trip thing with Twiztid's 25th anniversary tour... I mean, don't get me wrong, they're a talented duo and all, but 25 years is a long time – can we really say their music still holds up today? I've had friends who were huge fans back in the day, and now they barely listen to them anymore. Plus, with how fast the music industry moves, it's hard for any artist to keep up with changing tastes and trends. Don't get me wrong, Fright Fest and Astronomicon 9 sound like a blast, but is this just a cash-grab or a genuine attempt to connect with their fanbase? 🤔

omg y'all gotta be ready for some twisted tunes 🤪 twiztid's been makin' horrorcore magic for 25 years and it's still goin strong! freek show tour is gonna bring the heat east coast style, with fright fest kickin' off on devil's night - think creepy decorations and visuals that'll freak you out 😱. but don't worry, twiztid's also gettin' weird at astronomicon 9 in april, where they'll be hangin' with sci-fi fans and geeks alike 🚀. can't wait to see what kind of crazy times these two come up with!

omg I'm so stoked for Twiztid fans!!! 🤩 their freek show tour is gonna be lit! i love how they're combining horrorcore hip-hop with otherworldly vibes - it's like, totally unique and captivating. and can you believe they're celebrating 25 years of their sophomore album?! that's insane. i've been a fan of twiztid since forever and to see them still killing the game after all these years is honestly giving me life 😍. fright fest sounds like an absolute blast too - who wouldn't want to experience a horror-themed show with Twiztid? 🎃👻 astronomicon 9 seems like it's gonna be so much fun for fans of sci-fi and comic books too! overall, twiztid is just proving that they're one of the most talented and innovative acts out there 💥.

I'm so stoked to see Twiztid killing it on their Freek Show tour! Their live shows are always like a wild party, but Fright Fest takes it to a whole new level 🎃👻. I mean, who doesn't love a good horror-themed concert? It's gonna be so lit! And Astronomicon 9 sounds like an epic event too - I'm all about that sci-fi and gaming life 🚀💻. Detroit is really lucky to have bands like Twiztid bringing the noise and making our city proud. Can't wait to see what they've got in store for us this year!

25 years of Freek Show? That's wild 🤯. I'm not sure how they've managed to sustain their unique sound for that long without losing their edge, but I guess it just goes to show you can be a horrorcore hip-hop duo from Detroit and still have a cult following.

I'm curious, though - what exactly is Fright Fest? Is it just a bunch of creepy decorations or is there more to it than that? 🕷️ Can anyone who hasn't seen the videos get an idea of what it's like?

And Astronomicon 9 sounds interesting, but aren't they going from horrorcore to sci-fi and pop culture? Won't that alienate their fanbase? I'm trying to get a better understanding of these events before I consider buying tickets. 😐

man...twiztid's been grindin' for like 25 yrs now 🤯 and it's dope to see them still killin' the game like this. their live shows are always so wild, i love how they bring that horrorcore vibe to life with all the decorations and visuals 👻💀. and now they're takin' it to the next level with Astronomicon 9? that sounds like a sick way to cap off the year 🚀👽. detroit's music scene is always poppin', but twiztid's definitely one of the most innovative acts out there. can't wait to see what they got cookin' for us next 🤔

man twiztid's been killin it for like forever 🤯 they're bringin that same energy to their shows now with freek show tour 25 years of horrorcore hip hop is a big deal, gotta give it up to them for keepin it real 💀 and now they're expandin their brand to sci-fi comics and video games too, that's what i love about detroit artists, they always pushin the boundaries 🚀

25 years of that horrorcore stuff? I'm not sure if I'd want to go see them live, all those dark vibes might get me... I don't know, stuck in a bad mood for days 🤣. And Fright Fest, Saint Andrew's Hall on Devil's Night? Sounds like a recipe for a wild night, but also kinda creepy. I'm not sure if I'd want to be trapped in a room with all that horror decor and music. At least they're doing it for the fans, so I guess that's cool 😐. But what's up with Astronomicon 9? Is this just another con trying to cash in on sci-fi & gaming fads? Not convinced 🚫

omg cant believe twiztid is getting old i remember listening to their music back in middle school my friend and i used to stay up all night blasting Freek Show on repeat lol those were the days i'm hyped they're bringing Fright Fest back this year its gonna be so lit!!
