Trump says ‘it will be done’ on getting ‘Russian threat’ away from Greenland

President Trump has declared that Denmark has failed to take adequate measures to address the perceived Russian threat in Greenland, stating that it's now time for action. In a recent post on his social media platform, Truth Social, he expressed frustration over Denmark's inability to remove the "Russian threat" from the island.

The US president has long argued that Greenland is crucial to US security interests, and he's repeatedly stated his intention to acquire ownership of the territory. However, Danish officials have consistently rejected these claims, insisting that Greenland is an autonomous region within the Kingdom of Denmark.

Trump has vowed to implement a new wave of tariffs on European allies until they allow the US to purchase Greenland. The move is seen as a threat by some European countries, which have already expressed their opposition to Trump's attempts to acquire the territory.

Despite NATO's collective security pact covering Greenland, Danish officials have pointed out that this agreement does not grant the US ownership or control over the island. The situation has sparked concerns among European leaders and the international community.

The protests in front of the US consulate in Nuuk, Greenland, on Saturday demonstrate growing opposition to Trump's policy towards the territory. The demonstrations are seen as a response to the president's efforts to acquire ownership of Greenland without Denmark's consent.

😒 I think this whole thing is getting out of hand... like, come on, Mr President! We're not talking about some tiny rock here 🌎, we're talking about an entire country within another country. Like, what's next? You gonna start claiming ownership of Norway too? 🤣 Denmark has been super clear that Greenland is under their control and they won't let anyone just take it over without a fight 💪. And by the way, have you actually talked to any Danish officials about this? I think not 🙅‍♂️. It's all just a big bluff from the US side.

I'm not sure why everyone's so worked up about this... I think it's kinda awesome that President Trump is finally taking action on something 🤔. Like, Denmark's been having this "Russian threat" issue for ages and they just can't seem to do anything about it. It's like, time to step up and get serious about security. And honestly, who wouldn't want the US to own Greenland? I mean, it's a strategic location in the middle of nowhere 😂. The fact that Denmark's being all stubborn about it is kinda ridiculous. I'm not saying Trump's got the best approach or anything, but he's at least trying something 🤑. And those protests in Nuuk? More like a big show of national pride for Greenland, if you ask me 👊

I'm so over this whole Greenland thing 🙄 it reminds me of when my dad was talking about how the Soviet Union used to have its eyes on Poland back in the day... anyway, Trump is just being a big baby because he can't get what he wants 😒 and now he's threatening tariffs? that's like something out of a Cold War drama 📺 I mean, come on, Denmark knows what they're doing with their own territory 🤷‍♂️ it's not like they're gonna let some American president just waltz in and take it away from them 💪 those protests in Nuuk are totally justified btw 👊

omg u gotta feel for denmark right now 🤕 they're gettin slammed by trump over greenland & it's just not cool how he's tryin to strong arm them into givin up their sovereignty 👊 like, i get it usa has security interests but does that mean we gotta bully others 2 get what we want? 🤔 danish ppl r standin up 4 themselves & it's super admirable 💪 the protests in nuuk were intense & u can bet trump's gonna hear about 'em on truth social 📰 anyway, this whole situation just makes me wish we cld all just talk 2 each other instead of resortin 2 tariffs & threats 😔

🤦‍♂️ Oh boy, this is getting good... Trump thinks he can just bully Denmark into giving him Greenland because, you know, Russia is lurking everywhere and it's gotta be protected 🚨. Like, I get it, security concerns are important, but does the US president really think we're all just gonna roll over and let him take an entire island without even asking? 😂 And what's with the tariffs? Is he trying to trade Greenland for a bag of tweets or something? 💸👀 Newsflash, Donald: Denmark doesn't work that way. They're not like some tiny country you can shake down because you're feeling threatened 🤣. I'm surprised they haven't just told him to sod off and sent him on his merry way 👋. This is gonna be fun to watch... 😂

🤔 I'm not sure how much stock to put into this whole Greenland thing... I mean, Trump's always been known for making bold moves, but this one just seems kinda silly? Like, he's complaining about Denmark not taking action on Russia, but isn't the US already part of NATO or something? shouldn't that cover them? 🤷‍♂️ And tariffs, really? That's just gonna hurt Europe more than it'll help Trump get Greenland. I'm not saying Denmark should be able to do whatever they want with the place, but come on, can't we all just get along and figure this out in a more adult way? 😒

Wow 💥 this is getting serious 🤯 Trump's obsession with Greenland is crazy 💁‍♂️ I mean, I get it, security and all that but does he really think Denmark isn't doing enough? 🤔 It feels like a power struggle to me 📈 and Europe is not having it 🙅‍♂️ the protests are totally justified 🌟 the US needs to respect international law and agreements 🚫

I'm not sure what's going on with this whole Greenland thing 🤔. On one hand, it's like, I get why the US is concerned about its security interests and all that. But at the same time, Denmark has been pretty clear that they're not willing to give up control of their territory 🌟. And now Trump's threatening tariffs and stuff? It just seems like a big mess 💸. The Europeans are already getting anxious about it, and I can see why - if the US starts imposing sanctions on them over this, it could get messy 👀. But at the same time, I feel bad for the people in Greenland who are caught right in the middle of all this 🌎. It's like, can't we just talk things through instead of resorting to threats and tariffs? 😔

man this is like totally wild how one guy can just declare war on another country just 'cause he thinks they're not doing enough 🤯 like what even is the point of owning greenland anyway? is it really worth risking a global conflict over? and what does it say about our priorities as a society that we're so focused on getting whatever we want no matter who gets hurt 💔 and I'm curious, what's the real reason behind trump's obsession with Greenland? is it just some misguided ego thing or is there something more to it? 🤔

I'm low-key worried about this whole situation 🤔. I mean, can you imagine if the US just decided to go in on some Nordic island and start making demands? It sounds like a scene straight outta "Mr. Robot" where the bad guy tries to manipulate everyone into doing their bidding 💥.

And what's with all the drama around NATO's collective security pact? Shouldn't that be enough to keep everyone safe without having to worry about some big dude with a Twitter account 🤷‍♂️?

Trump's just trying to prove his point, but it's not gonna fly 🚫. Denmark is clear on this, and if the US can't respect their sovereignty then maybe they should take a step back and reevaluate their priorities 🙏.

I'm all for America being strong and influential, but come on guys – let's try to do some diplomacy here 💬. This isn't a game of "Game of Thrones" where you just storm in and claim what you want 🚫💔

OMG, can you even believe what Trump is saying now? 🤯 Like, Denmark has been all over this with Greenland and he's just gonna impose tariffs on them or something? That's not cool, dude... I mean, the EU needs to stand up for themselves here... like, they're already feeling the effects of his trade wars and now he wants to go after them some more? 🚫 And what's with this whole ownership thing? Greenland is literally a separate country, Denmark can't just hand it over to anyone. This is getting outta hand, bro... 🤯

I'm not sure why Trump is still harping on about this 🤔. Like, I get it, he thinks it's super important for US security, but does he really think he can just buy his way into being the boss of Greenland? 😂 It's like, Denmark has made it clear they don't want to sell, and now Trump is threatening trade wars? Come on, man... that's not how diplomacy works 🙄.

And I'm not sure what's more ridiculous, Trump's claims about Russia having a "threat" in Greenland or the fact that he actually thinks we should care about some tiny island in the middle of nowhere 🌊. Like, what even is the point? And to make matters worse, NATO just guarantees collective security, but nope, Trump wants his own special deal 🤷‍♂️.

I guess what really gets my goat is that Denmark's been pretty chill about this whole thing, and now Trump is making them feel like they're the bad guys 🙃. Like, have some respect for the sovereignty of other nations, dude... 😊

🤔 I gotta say, this whole thing with Trump and Denmark is getting pretty weird, fam... like, what's up with him trying to muscle in on Greenland? Denmark has made it clear they won't sell, so why's he still pushing for it? 🤑 It's all about security interests, but let's be real, that just means he wants to expand US influence and control. And now he's threatening tariffs? That's just a way of saying "I'm not happy with you" without actually having the courage to back it up 💸

And what's with the protests in Nuuk? I get it, people are upset, but taking it out on the consulate doesn't solve anything. Can't we all just talk this through? 🤝 It's like, Trump's got a platform for sharing his thoughts, but he needs to actually listen to other perspectives instead of just shouting them down 💬
