I get where they're coming from, wanting to protect cyclists, but this law feels like a band-aid solution . It's not addressing the root issue of reckless driving or infrastructure problems. And what's to stop people from taking photos and making assumptions? Like, what if someone is just trying to help and gets it wrong? Plus, I'm worried about the surveillance aspect... once we start monitoring people for minor infractions, where do we draw the line? It's a slippery slope for sure. Can't we find ways to educate drivers and cyclists on sharing the road without relying on citizens as police?
ugh i dont get why they gotta make this law i mean yeah cycling is super important but do we really need some kinda citizen snitch program on top of everything else its like theyre saying if you get a ticket for parking wrong your friends might rat u out lol meanwhile the real crime rate is still way higher than bike lane violators come on chicago think about what would happen if this law got implemented in my school cafeteria haha imagine having to report our friends for eating in the hallway without permission
