The New Kindle Scribes Are Great, but Not Great Enough

just got my hands on the new Kindle Scribe Colorsoft 📚💻 and gotta say, I'm super excited about the color display 🎨! it's a game changer for reading and sketching at the same time. but, yeah, the storage capacity is a bit steep $64 is just too much for an e-reader imo 🤑. i think those reMarkable tablets are still the way to go if you need a digital notebook that can keep up with your creative vibes 🎨💻

I gotta say, I'm kinda underwhelmed by these new Kindle Scribes 🤔. Don't get me wrong, color displays are always cool, but I think reMarkable tablets still have that digital notebook magic going on 💫. The AI features are neat, but I don't know if they're enough to convince me to upgrade from my current e-reader 📖. And let's be real, 32 GB and 64 GB storage is just not gonna cut it for all the files and notebooks I like to have on hand 🤯. Plus, that no front light thing is a major bummer for reading in the dark 😒. I mean, I know the lower-end model might bring the price down next year, but still... I'm holding out for something that really delivers 🚀

idk why amazon is still making e-readers with mediocre displays 🤔 they should just focus on improving that aspect already... 150 ppi for color display? feels like an upgrade, but at this price point, it's still not enough to compete with reMarkable or kobo 👀

man, I feel like I'm stuck in some kinda time warp with these new kindle scribbles... 🤯 they're trying to bring color and ai to e-readers, but it's still a bit of a compromise, you know? I mean, 150 ppi for color is cute, but 300 ppi for black-and-white? that's just overkill, right? and don't even get me started on the no front light thing... how am i supposed to read in bed now? 😒

but hey, at least they're trying, you know? it's like, I'm all for progress and innovation, but sometimes I wish we could just appreciate the classics a bit more. like my old kindle 4... that was a real e-reader 🙏

and yeah, reMarkable tablets and kobo e-readers are definitely worth considering... they're not perfect either, but at least they're trying to find that sweet spot between functionality and affordability 💸
