The 10 most anticipated video games of 2026

'Cairn' is the latest climbing game that promises a breathtaking experience for fans of mountaineering. This beautifully illustrated game drops players into the role of Aava, who must carefully place her hands and feet to navigate treacherous mountain routes, camping on ledges and nursing her injured fingers as she ascends.

Scheduled for release on January 29th, 'Cairn' combines challenging gameplay with a harsh environment, mirroring the brutal realities of real climbing. Players will need to use strategy and skill to overcome obstacles and reach the summit.

Fans of platformers might enjoy 'Reanimal', an animated horror game developed by a Finnish studio. With its unsettling atmosphere and beautiful illustrations, this two-player game is reminiscent of classics like Limbo and Inside. Players take on the roles of a brother and sister who must navigate their twisted home town, avoiding hostile creatures along the way.

'Very Little League', set for release on February 13th, looks to be an exhilarating addition to the platformer genre, featuring fast-paced gameplay and an art style reminiscent of classic games from bygone eras.

On a more family-friendly note, 'Pokémon Pokopia' promises a charming experience where players build habitats for Nintendo's beloved creatures. With its unique blend of Animal Crossing and Minecraft elements, this game is set to delight fans of all ages.

In the world of action-adventure games, Insomniac Games is taking on Marvel's Wolverine in an upcoming title scheduled for release on PlayStation 5. Fans of the Spider-Man series will likely be excited by this new take on a classic character.

For those looking for something a bit more lighthearted, 'Witchbrook' is a delightful pixel art game that lets players explore a witches' college and its charming surroundings. With support for four-player multiplayer, this game promises to be an enjoyable experience for friends and family alike.

Finally, fans of science fiction will be thrilled by 'Saros', an upcoming sci-fi action game from the developers behind Returnal. This challenging title promises a gripping narrative and fast-paced gameplay, making it an exciting release to look forward to in 2026.

I'm not sure if I'm stoked about these new games or skeptical about them 🤔. Climbing games like 'Cairn' can be super intense, but what if they just end up being repetitive and frustrating? And with all the platformer games coming out, it's hard to tell which ones are gonna stand out from the crowd 🎮. On a more optimistic note, I'm loving the sound of 'Pokémon Pokopia', that Animal Crossing/Minecraft combo sounds like a dream come true for many fans! 😊

I'm not expecting much from all these new games... 'Cairn' seems like just another way for gamers to pretend they're experienced climbers, but who's to say they won't get a thrill out of it? The gameplay looks pretty challenging, I'll give them that. As for 'Reanimal', the horror genre is always going to be overdone - another creepy game with no real substance.

And 'Very Little League' seems like just more of the same fast-paced platformer nonsense. The art style does look kinda cool, I guess. Pokémon fans are probably drooling at 'Pokémon Pokopia', but it's not like it'll change anything in the grand scheme of things. More cute, family-friendly games that won't challenge anyone.

I'm not sold on Insomniac Games' take on Wolverine - how can they possibly live up to the original? And 'Witchbrook' just seems like another casual multiplayer experience... what's the point of playing with friends when you're all going to be rubbish at it anyway?

Last but not least, sci-fi fans are probably salivating over 'Saros', but I've got my doubts - another game from the same developers that will probably just mess up.

I don't usually comment but I'm kinda stoked about these new games lol 😂. I mean 'Cairn' looks super intense, like climbing Mount Everest or something 🏔️. Can't wait to try that out! The art style for 'Reanimal' is giving me major creep vibes 😳 and I love it! 🎮 And Pokémon Pokopia sounds like a fun game to play with the fam 👪. What's up with all these games coming out in 2026 tho? 🤔

I'm loving the diversity of games coming out next year 🎮. Cairn looks super intense - who wouldn't want to play as someone climbing mountains, feeling that rush of adrenaline? 😅 But then there's Reanimal which sounds way creepy and awesome at the same time, I'm intrigued by the whole animated horror vibe 🕷️.

And for those looking for something a bit more chill, Pokémon Pokopia seems like just what we need to brighten up our day with some cute little creatures 🐰. Very Little League is also giving me nostalgic vibes, I love classic games from back in the day 💥.

The Marvel Wolverine game has got me hyped too - Insomniac Games always does an amazing job with their action-adventure games ⚡️. And finally, Witchbrook sounds like it's going to be so much fun to play with friends and family 🤩. Can't wait to dive into all these new games! 💻

I'm so stoked for all these new games coming out! 🤩 'Cairn' sounds like such a thrill, I love the idea of navigating treacherous mountain routes and using strategy to overcome obstacles. And I'm really excited about 'Pokémon Pokopia', I've been eyeing this one for ages! 😊 It's always great to see Nintendo bringing out games that are fun for all ages.

I'm also loving the sound of 'Witchbrook', it looks like such a charming and lighthearted game. Pixel art is always so cute and adorable, and multiplayer sounds like an amazing way to spend time with friends and family. 🤗

But what's really got me hyped is 'Saros' from Insomniac Games! 🚀 As a fan of sci-fi games, I've been waiting for something new from them, and this one sounds so intense and gripping. The fact that it's from the same devs as Returnal makes me think it's going to be an absolute blast.

I'm definitely keeping an eye on all these releases, can't wait to dive in and start playing! 💻

OMG u guys no how frustrating its to play these new climbin games with all those tiny fingers Aava needs lol I mean idk how shes gonna survive w/ them little fingers but im hyped for the challenge lol 🤣 also whats up w/ all the horror games lately Reanimal sounds super scary but in a good way 😱 and btw Very Little League looks like so much fun can't wait 2 play it w/ my friends 🎮

I'm hyped for Cairn! 🤩 I mean, who doesn't love climbing games? The graphics look insane 😲, and the idea of having to manage your character's injuries is super realistic. It'll be a great challenge, but that's what makes it exciting, right? 🎮

omg i just remembered that i tried this crazy new plant-based recipe last night 🌱 and it was SO good!!! i mean i know some people say vegan food is all about salads and stuff but not me, i like a good vegan lasagna 🍝 anyways back to the games... i've been playing 'Cairn' for a bit now and i'm hooked on that first climb in the game it's so intense! and 'Pokémon Pokopia' sounds adorable, maybe we should get our little ones into gaming together 🤗

I'm low-key hyped for Cairn's release, but I think the gameplay might be way too intense for casual players... 🤯 Like, have you seen the demo? It's super challenging even on normal difficulty. Still, fans of climbing games will love it, and the graphics look insane 💥. And can we talk about Reanimal? 😱 That Finnish studio is genius! The atmosphere in that game gives me major creep vibes... gotta play it with my sibling when it comes out 👻.

I gotta say, this is just like our current economic policies - all about balancing the books while giving fans what they want 📊. You got your 'Cairn' which is like a well-planned fiscal budget, all about strategy and skill... meanwhile, you got 'Reanimal' which is more of a wild card, unpredictable, and thrilling! 🔥 It's like our politicians trying to balance the books while giving in to public demands.

And then you got your family-friendly games like 'Pokémon Pokopia', that's like the bipartisan approach - everyone gets along, it's all sunshine and rainbows ☀️. But what about the bigger picture? Are we just playing with small change when it comes to our economy? Shouldn't we be thinking about long-term growth? 🤔

And let's not forget 'Saros' which is like a bold new policy initiative - it's all about taking risks and pushing boundaries. But can we afford to take that risk right now? Are we just throwing more money at problems without a clear plan for the future? 💸

man i think its cool how these new games are tryin to capture real-life struggles like climbing mountains or dealin with anxiety but at the same time theyre still fun to play 🤔 think about it we all gotta navigate our own "mountain routes" sometimes whether thats through personal growth or just dealin with life's ups and downs and its awesome that games can be a way for us to test ourselves in a safe virtual environment 💪

Ugh, can't believe they're releasing 'Cairn' on January 29th... I mean, isn't that like, right next to 'Pokémon Pokopia'?! 🤯 It's gonna be a nightmare trying to navigate both games at the same time. And what's up with the constant release of these new platformers? I swear, it's like they're trying to overdo it on the pixel art style... just had to wait a whole 3 months for 'Very Little League' 😩

🤔 "The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only one page." - Saint Augustine 📖

I think some of these games sound super cool! I'm hyped for 'Cairn' – that graphics are gonna be insane. And 'Pokémon Pokopia' seems like a great way to spend time with family. On the other hand, I'm not sure about 'Reanimal'... horror games aren't really my thing 🎃️.

Anyway, it's always exciting to see new games coming out and some of these ones sound like they're gonna be so much fun! Can't wait for January 29th 🕰️.

I just started playing these new games and I'm having so much fun 🎮😁 Cairn is actually kinda scary but also super satisfying when you finally reach the top of that mountain! I mean, who doesn't love climbing mountains? Did you guys know that there's this one mountain in New Zealand where you can hike to a lake that looks just like a mirror? It's like nature's own reflection 🌊😍 My little sibling loves Pokémon so I'm definitely getting 'Pokémon Pokopia' for them, but is it true we have to pay real money to catch all the creatures?

I'm so hyped for 'Cairn' to come out on Jan 29th 🎮! As someone who's super passionate about environmental causes, I think it's amazing that the game highlights the harsh realities of climbing and the impact it has on our planet 🌎. It's a great way to educate players about the importance of sustainability and conservation. I'm also stoked for 'Reanimal' - I love how the Finnish studio is pushing boundaries with their unique animation style 🎨. And, can we talk about 'Pokémon Pokopia'? 🤔 Building habitats for Pokémon sounds like an adorable game that'll bring joy to players of all ages! 👧

🤔 Just read about all these new games coming out and I'm stoked! 'Cairn' looks so intense, love how it's trying to mirror real climbing challenges 😅. And 'Reanimal' sounds creepy cool, animation and atmosphere look top-notch 🎃. Can't wait for 'Pokémon Pokopia', always been a fan of Animal Crossing and Minecraft, this seems like the perfect combo 🌿.

What do you guys think about these new games? Are there any that stand out to you as must-play titles? 🤔

omg i just heard about cairn and i'm SO stoked for it 🤩! climbing games are like my fave type of game ever... the fact that they drop you into a world where u have to carefully place ur hands & feet is literally so satisfying 😌 can't wait to check out 'reanimal' too, those animated horror vibes sound 🔥

I'm not sure about these new games... some of them sound like they could be super fun, but others seem kinda gimmicky 😐. Like, 'Pokémon Pokopia' sounds alright, I guess - I love Animal Crossing and Minecraft, so that's a decent combo 🤔. But 'Reanimal' is already giving me the creeps, lol 😳. I'm not sure if I'm ready for an animated horror game just yet... and 'Very Little League' looks like it might be a bit too fast-paced for my taste ⏱️.

On the other hand, 'Witchbrook' does look kinda cute, you know? 🧙‍♀️ I love pixel art games, so that's definitely got me interested. And Insomniac Games is always good with their action-adventure stuff 💥. But 'Cairn' sounds like it might be a bit too intense for me... I mean, climbing and all that can be pretty scary 🏔️.

As for 'Saros', I'm intrigued 😏. Sci-fi games are usually my jam, so if the devs behind Returnal know what they're doing, this could be cool 🔥. But we'll have to wait till 2026 to find out, I guess 😊.

Ugh, another year, more games 🤦‍♂️. Can we just take a moment to appreciate how much we're spending on gaming subscriptions already? Anyway, I'm kinda hyped for 'Cairn', it looks like they actually put some effort into making a climbing game that's not just "oh no, you fell off" 😅. And hey, who doesn't love a good platformer every now and then? 'Reanimal' seems pretty interesting, but the animated horror vibe might be a bit too much for me 🙅‍♂️. On a more positive note, 'Very Little League' looks fast-paced and fun! Can't wait to build habitats with Pokémon in 'Pokémon Pokopia', it sounds like a great way to relax with the fam 👪. And Marvel's Wolverine game? Yes, please 🤖. Only problem is, my wallet might have other plans 💸.
