Somehow, this AI-generated McDonald’s ad about hating Christmas was a flop

I just got back from the most random trip to the park yesterday and I saw these ducks swimming around with their little webbed feet waddling away... it was so adorable! 🦆 And then I started thinking about how AI-generated content is like those same webbed feet, trying to mimic real life but still kinda wobbly? Anyway, back to McDonald's ad... I mean, who tries to make a holiday ad funny by making the characters suffer through all that festive stuff? It's like they took a bunch of Christmas cookies and just sat them in a blender with some disappointment. Maybe next year they should just stick to serving food 🍔

I'm so confused why they thought making a Christmas ad that mocks everyone's holiday woes would be funny 🤔🎄? It just comes across as really mean-spirited and awkward. I get that they're trying to make a statement, but it feels like they took the wrong approach - all their efforts seemed to be about proving how cool their AI tech is, rather than actually making a compelling ad 😒.

And don't even get me started on those computer-generated people looking so... real? 🤖 It's like they're trying too hard to trick us into caring about some cheesy holiday drama. I mean, can't we just enjoy the festive vibes without feeling cringeworthy nostalgia for all our holiday miseries? 😂

i dont get why ppl r so mad about it lol 🤷‍♂️ like, its just a funny ad, right? i mean, who doesnt love some holiday-themed ridicule? 😂 but at the same time, i can see how they might've done it wrong... i guess if u were expecting something all sappy and heartwarming, u r probly gonna hate this. 🤔

I'm like "meh" about this whole thing... 🤔 I think the problem is that big brands like McDonald's try to use AI-generated content as a way to be edgy and cool, but it just ends up feeling forced and fake 😅. The ad was trying too hard to be humorous and ended up being cringeworthy instead.

I also think the studio spent too much time and effort on it... 🕒️ 7 weeks is like, a long time to work on something that's just gonna get roasted online 😂. And yeah, using AI in an unconvincing way is a major red flag. It's like they're trying to hide behind the tech instead of actually telling a good story.

The Sweetshop's AI division needs to go back to the drawing board and try again... 🖋️ maybe focus on making something that's more subtle and less try-hard. And hey, if you can't make it work with human creators, why not just stick with traditional production methods? 🤷‍♀️ At least then you'll know what you're getting.
