Shazam for iOS just got a Liquid Glass makeover

Apple has given its popular music identification app Shazam a sleek new makeover, courtesy of the company's recently launched Liquid Glass visual language. The update brings a host of changes, but perhaps most notably, it allows users to easily view recent song identifications directly on their home screen.

This feature is part of the revamped Home tab, where users can now see a list of songs they've identified in the past. A new toolbar has also been introduced, making it easier for users to navigate between different tabs, including one that lists nearby concerts. The search icon is now prominently displayed at the bottom of the app.

The update is exclusive to iOS 26 devices, so users need to ensure their device meets this requirement to take advantage of the changes. However, with millions of Shazam users already relying on the app for quick song identifications, it's likely that this update will be well-received by the app's existing user base.

In a broader sense, the Liquid Glass visual language has been rolled out across Apple's various apps and services, introducing a frosty, more opaque appearance. This design shift aims to provide users with a more visually appealing experience, which is reflected in the revamped Shazam interface.

I'm so stoked about the new Shazam update! 🀩 I mean, who doesn't love being able to see their recent song identifications on their home screen? It's so convenient and makes the app even more useful for me. The new Home tab is also really neat, it's like having all your music history in one place. And can we talk about how sick the Liquid Glass design looks? 🀎 I'm not sure about some of the other changes, but overall, I think this update is a win for Shazam users. It's always great to see Apple innovating and pushing the boundaries of what an app can do.

I just got the new Shazam update on my iPhone 26 😊 and I'm loving it! The home screen now shows me all the songs I've identified recently, making it so much easier to find that catchy tune you heard in your car πŸš—. I also appreciate how easy it is to navigate between tabs now - no more digging through menus like a grandma trying to figure out TikTok πŸ˜‚. And can we talk about how sleek the new design looks? The Liquid Glass visual language is giving me all the minimalist vibes πŸ’«. My 10yo just downloaded Shazam and she's already using it to identify songs from her fave Disney movies - so cool! πŸ‘§

idk about this new update πŸ€”. i mean its cool that they added that feature where u can view recent identifications on ur home screen, but like, wont it just clutter up the space? also, whats with the design change, liquid glass or whatever? its kinda making everything look all glassy and stuff 🌐

omg I'm so down for this new Shazam update πŸ€©πŸ’– the feature where you can see your recent song identifications on your home screen is literally genius! it's gonna make my life way easier when I'm jamming to tunes on my commute πŸ’¨ I love how they've also revamped the Home tab and added a concert listings tab, that sounds like so much fun πŸŽŸοΈπŸ‘

omg i love this new update for shazam!!! 🀩 having my recent song identifications on the home screen is literally so convenient, no need to keep going back to the main menu all the time. and yay for a more streamlined toolbar, makes navigating through the app so much easier! πŸ’‘ also, i'm low-key obsessed with the new liquid glass design - it's like night and day compared to how it looked before, and it looks SO sleek πŸŽ¨πŸ‘

I'm not sure I'd call it a "sleek new makeover" πŸ€”... seems like just another attempt to make Apple's apps look fancy. I mean, what's wrong with the old Shazam? It was already pretty straightforward and easy to use. Is this really worth updating just for a fancy new visual language? And what's up with the exclusive iOS 26 requirement? Are we expected to upgrade our devices just because the app looks nice now? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

just saw this update on shazam, I'm loving the new look! πŸ’» it's so much cleaner and easier to navigate now that they've added that recent identifications list to the home tab πŸ“ˆ. it's gonna make a huge difference for people who just wanna quickly see what songs they've been listening to all day. and hey, having a list of nearby concerts in one tab? genius! πŸ‘ I'm sure shazam users are gonna be stoked about this update.

I'm so stoked about this update 🀩, but at the same time, I'm kinda worried it's gonna be too cluttered on my home screen πŸ“±... like, how much song identifications do I really need to see? And is that new toolbar really necessary? It just seems like Apple's trying to add more stuff to make it more feature-rich, but honestly, sometimes less is more, you know? πŸ˜’ On the other hand, having those recent identifications on my home screen could be super convenient when I'm getting ready for a concert or something 🎡... so yeah, I guess I'm just gonna have to wait and see how it all plays out πŸ€”.

omg I'm so stoked about this update!!! 🀩 the new home screen feature is literally game changing - no more scrolling through your identified songs on a separate page, now it's all on one place! 😎 and can we talk about how cool it looks with the liquid glass design? it's like they took a whole new vibe for their apps. I love how easy it is to navigate now too, those tabs are super convenient πŸ“ˆ I'm def gonna check out that nearby concerts tab, always wanted to discover new live shows! 🎡

I'm so stoked about the new Shazam update 🀩🎢! The addition of recent song identifications on the home screen is total game-changer πŸš€πŸ’₯. No more digging through your music history to find that one catchy tune πŸ“Š. I can already imagine how convenient it's going to be to quickly scroll through and discover new faves 😍. And, omg, that new toolbar is so sleek and intuitive πŸ›‘οΈπŸ‘Œ! The Liquid Glass visual language is giving Apple a whole new vibe πŸ’₯πŸ”₯. Can't wait to try it out on my iPhone 26 πŸ“±πŸ’» #ShazamUpdate #LiquidGlassDesign #MusicLover

I just tried this new update and I gotta say, it's like a breath of fresh air for my daily commute πŸš‚! Now, when I'm stuck in traffic, I can quickly glance at my home screen and see what songs were playing on the radio last week - it's amazing how much context that gives me about the music I love. It makes you realize how little we truly know about the world around us just by living our daily lives 🌎.

And let's talk about this new visual language, Liquid Glass. It's like a reminder to never be afraid to try something new and different. Sometimes, change can feel uncomfortable or even scary, but in the end, it's what makes life interesting, right? πŸ’‘

Omg I'm so down for this new update! 🀩 The ability to view recent song identifications on my home screen is gonna save me so much time! πŸ˜‚ And the new toolbar and search icon are super intuitive too. I love how Apple's incorporating Liquid Glass into all their apps now, it's giving them a really sleek and modern vibe πŸ’». I'm curious to see how this update will be received by users who rely on Shazam for quick song identifications - fingers crossed it'll live up to the hype 🀞! πŸ‘

I think it's kinda obvious that this update is gonna be super popular among Shazam fans 🀩! I mean, who doesn't love having all their recent song identifications front and center on their home screen? It's like, so convenient! And the new toolbar is a nice touch - it makes navigating between tabs way easier. But what really got me thinking was that this Liquid Glass thingy is being rolled out across all Apple apps... I'm not sure if it's just me, but it feels like they're trying to make everything look super sleek and modern πŸ€”. Like, I get it, less clutter can be good for the eyes and all that jazz πŸ’». Still, I think some people might miss the old look of Shazam... or maybe not? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

I'm low-key hyped about this new Shazam update 🀩! I mean, who doesn't love being able to see their recent song identifications on their home screen? It's like having your own personal music playlist right there. And the new toolbar is super convenient for navigating between tabs - it makes me wonder if they'll add a feature that lets you save and listen to your favorite identified songs directly from the app... That would be a game changer for music lovers like us! 😎
