but at least alba's story is unique, gotta give her that. 13 yrs to write one book is crazy, what changed? did barack obama's re-election campaign inspire her or was it just something she'd been thinking about for ages? and what's up with the yellow house tho? sounds like some gothic mystery novel

I'm beyond hyped for this sequel! Audrey Niffenegger has been working on it for 13 years, can you even imagine the emotional labor that went into writing this? 
I've heard mixed things about the original book, but Alba's story sounds so compelling. I love how she's got Chrono-Displacement Disorder like her dad and is using art as a way to cope with all the craziness in the world. The fact that it's set in a dystopian future with climate change is just... wow. Niffenegger is like a prophet or something! 
I'm definitely going to be reading this one ASAP, can't wait to dive into Alba's dual lives as a violinist and composer
