‘Scary, cold, hungry and lonely’: Volunteer soldier shares experience on front line | CNN

i just read about this soldier akula and its really breaking my heart he was so young when he enlisted and now hes struggling with ptsd it makes me think about our own veterans back home who arent getting the same treatment they deserve 🤕 we need to do more for these guys, mental health is just as important as physical health we cant just ignore the fact that war takes a toll on our minds too.

I mean can't we just have one minute of peace without some young bloke getting sent to war and coming back all messed up? 🤯 I'm not saying PTSD doesn't exist or that our troops don't deserve our appreciation, but come on, let's get the whole "war is brave" thing over with. We need better support for these guys when they get back, like actual mental health services instead of just throwing them at some PR campaign 📺

I'm not sure if I totally agree that war is bad 🤔... I mean, some people might think it's necessary to protect their country or whatnot... but at the same time, it's super scary and traumatic for the soldiers who have to fight in it 😩. Akula's experiences are definitely heartbreaking, but can we also say that he was brave and selfless by enlisting? 🤷‍♂️ I'm not trying to justify anything, just saying... it's complicated 💭. Maybe we need more support for soldiers like him, but do we also need to rethink our approach to war altogether? 🤔💥

OMG 🤯, did you see this? PTSD cases are thru the roof since 2020, especially among young adults! 😱 According to a recent study, 75% of vets who served in Ukraine have developed PTSD, with 50% experiencing suicidal thoughts 🤕. We need to step up our support system for these brave folks ASAP 💪. And can we talk about the importance of mental health check-ins during deployments? It's like, totally crucial! 📊

Here are some stats that'll blow your mind:

* 80% of soldiers who experience PTSD in combat also develop anxiety disorders
* Veterans are 2x more likely to die by suicide than non-vets
* The US Department of Defense reports a 200% increase in mental health referrals since 2020

We need to shine some light on this and get our governments to take action! 🌟 Let's make sure these amazing individuals receive the support they deserve 💕. And btw, have you seen the rise in online communities for veterans? It's amazing how technology has brought people together! 🤝
