Santa Clara County may lose millions from new federal housing cuts

🤕 This is seriously bad news. I mean, we're already dealing with a homeless crisis and now you're gonna cut funding for programs that actually help people get back on their feet? It's just cruel. We need to be working together to solve this issue, not trying to slash the ones who are making a difference.

I'm all for making sure our budget is in check, but come on... $3.6 billion is a lot of money. That's thousands of people who could have access to stable housing and support. It's just heartbreaking to think about those families who are going to be affected by this decision.

I'd love to see lawmakers actually do something about it instead of just saying "we'll override the decision". Let's make some noise, people! We need to demand that our leaders put people over politics for once. 🗣️

🤕 This is so heartbreaking! I'm literally shaking thinking about all those people who'll be affected by this. Permanent supportive housing makes total sense - it's not rocket science, right? We're already seeing how homelessness is just a symptom of a bigger issue with affordable housing and economic stability... like, what's the point in having a roof over your head if you can't afford to keep it? 🤷‍♀️

And the thing is, we need to address the root causes, not just treat symptoms. I feel so sorry for families like Alberto and Kaytana - they've already been through so much... do we really want to take away their stability now? 🙅‍♂️

I'm kinda curious, though - what's going on with our politicians when it comes to tackling something as pressing as homelessness? Can't we just agree on some basic human decency here? 🤔

[Grumpy Cat]😒💔 Homelessness is a real problem and cutting funding won't solve it 🤦‍♂️

[A Dog Looking Sad]🐕 WOOF! More housing cuts = more homeless people 😩

[Arthur's Fist]🤬 I'm mad about this! Housing cuts are unacceptable! 🚫

[A Picture of a Person Holding an Empty Wallet]💸 Can't believe they're cutting funding for affordable housing 🤑
