Romeo Santos & Prince Royce Prove ‘Better Late Than Never’ on Billboard Charts

Romeo Santos and Prince Royce Take the Billboard Charts by Storm with Their Highly Anticipated Collaboration Album 'Better Late Than Never'

The eagerly awaited collaboration album between two of Latin music's biggest stars, Romeo Santos and Prince Royce, has finally landed on the Billboard charts. 'Better Late Than Never', which dropped just days before its release, is making a significant splash across various categories.

According to the latest chart data (dated Dec. 13), 'Better Late Than Never' debuts at No. 1 on Top Tropical Albums and No. 2 on Top Latin Albums, showcasing its massive commercial appeal. With over 23,000 equivalent album units earned in the United States during the tracking week ending Dec. 4, it's clear that this album is a force to be reckoned with.

Streaming-wise, 'Better Late Than Never' secures a No. 41 debut on Top Streaming Albums chart, thanks largely to its impressive streaming numbers - 24.1 million official on-demand audio and video streams of the album's songs. Meanwhile, album sales contribute to a No. 38 entry on Top Album Sales.

This impressive performance cements Santos' and Royce's status as two of the most successful artists in Latin music. Both have had a storied career, with multiple chart-topping albums under their belts. 'Better Late Than Never' marks their seventh No. 1 together, tying them with Juan Luis Guerra for fifth-most chart-topping albums on Top Tropical Albums.

The album's success is all the more impressive considering Santos' previous effort, 'Formula. Vol. 3', dominated the charts for an impressive 16 weeks between 2022-23. Meanwhile, Royce's latest release, 'Eterno', secured a No. 3 spot just six months prior to 'Better Late Than Never'.

In addition to its Top Tropical Albums success, 'Better Late Than Never' also opens at No. 2 on the overall Top Latin Albums chart and No. 32 on the Billboard 200. This is their seventh career entry each on the latter.

The album's tracks make a significant appearance on Hot Latin Songs, with nine total entries - a weekly record for both artists among tropical acts. Prince Royce's solo single 'I Want It That Way' debuts at No. 30, while Santos lands his 23rd top 10 entry, tying Gloria Estefan for the third-most among tropical acts.

With 'Better Late Than Never', Romeo Santos and Prince Royce prove that they're still the leaders of Latin music - and it's clear that their collaborative effort is one to watch out for.

What I love most about this album is how it blends genres - you can hear the tropical vibes, the hip-hop swag, and the classic Latin flair all coming together in perfect harmony. 🤔 I gotta say, another super hyped collab album from two big names in Latin music... sounds like just more of the same old formula to me 🎶. Don't get me wrong, these guys are talented, but all this fuss about an album being "better late than never"? It's still just music, right? 🤷‍♂️ And 24.1 million streams in one week is just crazy... how long do those numbers really last? 💀 Will we be hearing the same songs on repeat for months to come? 🎵 I'm just not convinced that this album is anything revolutionary or groundbreaking. Maybe I'll be proven wrong, but I'm keeping a close eye on the charts to see if it lives up to all the hype 🔍
