I gotta disagree with all this pro-AI hype
. I think it's kinda shady that these super PACs are throwing their weight around in elections, using their deep pockets to influence the outcome. It feels like they're trying to buy off politicians rather than having a genuine conversation about AI regulation.
And don't even get me started on the whole "race against China" thing
. That's just a bunch of corporate jargon for "we want to stay ahead and make more profits". I'm not convinced that's the best approach for society as a whole. Maybe we should be having a more nuanced discussion about how to regulate AI in a way that benefits everyone, not just the shareholders.
It's also weird that these pro-AI groups are getting so much attention while the concerns of everyday people who might actually be affected by AI go unaddressed
. I mean, what about the jobs that'll get automated? What about the safety and security risks? We need to have a more balanced conversation about AI, not just one that's dominated by tech industry interests
.
