Portsmouth escape relegation with thrilling comeback against Southampton

A 1-1 draw at Fratton Park saw Portsmouth leapfrog Blackburn into 21st place, while their south-coast rivals Southampton remained stuck in 15th. The visitors had looked poised for a clean sheet on the road after opening the scoring through Léo Scienza's 57th-minute effort, but Ebou Adams' late equaliser sparked wild celebrations among the home crowd.

Idk man... I just can't believe Pompey managed to escape relegation with such a crazy comeback! 😂 But at the same time, I'm like totally over it - I mean, they were supposed to get relegated and now they're just like "oh no, we dodged that bullet" 🙄. oh man i was literally on the edge of my seat watching this match 🤯 Portsmouth's comeback was insane! i was worried they were gonna get relegated for sure, but that last minute goal by Adams was like a dream come true 😍 i mean i can imagine how frustrating it must be for Southampton to have such a great chance to win and then just fall short again. 50 years without a win at Fratton Park is crazy though 🤯 and i gotta say, Ebou Adams seems like an amazing signing for Portsmouth - he's really got the Pompey fans going wild 💥

Pompey's bench must've been doin somethin right because they came out on top and now they're in 21st place 👏. cant say im surprised tho, those guys have been underdogs for a reason 💪. its def a sign of what they can do when they play like that 💥. soton just had to settle for a point which is still 2 points behind Blackburn btw 🤔.

I'm so hyped about Portsmouth's crazy comeback against Southampton 😂! I mean, you've got to give credit to Ebou Adams and the Pompey team for digging deep and finding that equaliser just when it seemed like the Saints were going to take all 3 points. It's been a long time coming for them since their last win at Fratton Park in '75, so this must be an amazing feeling for the fans 🎉.

I've gotta say though, Southampton was looking pretty solid before Adams came on - they looked like they were going to take control of that game from start to finish. But Portsmouth's team spirit and determination just took over and ended up getting them a draw 😊. It's definitely one of those games where anything could happen.

I'm also loving the atmosphere at Fratton Park - it was clear the home crowd was pumped up for this one, and that energy transfered onto the pitch 💪. The Saints, on the other hand, looked a bit frustrated by the end. Still, they can't be too disappointed with the result overall - a draw's better than nothing when you're as depleted as they are right now.
