idk why palau would agree to take in deportees from the us... 75 people might sound like a small number but i guess it's still a lot of lives that would be affected
. plus, palau's got some major infrastructure issues, not sure how they'd handle that many new ppl living there. and what about the cultural impacts? i can see why the council of chiefs is worried about their way of life being disrupted
. it's not just about numbers, it's about what's best for the island nation as a whole
. the fact that senator inabo thinks it's mutually beneficial but still wants a referendum is fair enough imo
. gotta make sure palauans are on board with this before it's too late
