However, it is now confirmed by the city's Office of Chief Medical Examiner that this tragic event should be classified as a homicide. The examination found evidence of fentanyl exposure and discovered that Baby John Doe had been placed in a plastic bag - raising serious concerns about his death being an intentional act rather than accidental.
