NYC could soon require graphic cautionary images in gun shops

I think it's about time we put guns to rest 🚫💀. Like, I get that some people need 'em for sport or whatever, but honestly, can't we just make them less accessible? These graphic warnings might actually work, you know? People are already deterred from smoking cuz of those cigarette pack pics 😒. If it's good enough for that, why not guns? Plus, the city's already got a rep for being all about safety and whatnot 🌆. Let's hope this passes and keeps our streets safe 👍

I don't know, man... I mean, I'm glad NYC is tryin' to do something about gun violence, but I just don't think graphic images are the way to go 🤔. It feels like we're just shufflin' around the problem instead of gettin' to the root cause. Back in the 90s, when I was a kid, my aunt's cousin got shot by his ex... it was a real wake-up call for our whole community. We came together, talked about it, and started makin' changes. I'm not sayin' that won't happen here, but I think we need to focus on the root causes of gun violence, like poverty and lack of access to mental health resources 🤕.

I mean, have you seen those PSA commercials from back in the day? The ones with the guy who gets shot by a stray bullet? They really made an impact. Nowadays, it's all about them fancy graphics and whatnot... I'm just not convinced it'll make a difference 😐.

idk if graphic images r really gonna help reduce gun violence tho 🤔 i mean, they might work for cigarettes but guns are way more complex than that. its not just about owning a gun, its about the mentality and circumstances behind it too 🤑 what if ppl r already aware of the dangers? what if they still decide to own one anyways? 💁‍♀️ also, wut's gonna happen when these images get shared on social media or get distorted online? wont that just give guns more attention? 📸 gotta be careful about how we approach this 🤝
