No-toe area: why a barefoot living group has banned pictures of feet

I gotta say, I'm shocked by this new rule . Like, aren't people free to show off their feet if they want to? It's not like it's gonna hurt anyone to see a pic of someone's toes . And what about all the foot pics that are, like, totally innocent and just show off someone's love for nature or whatever? It feels like an overreaction to me.

And can we talk about how this is gonna affect people who have, you know, legitimate reasons for not wanting their feet shown? Like, some people might be hiding a medical issue or something. Should they get shamed for trying to keep it private online? No way .

I also don't get why the admins couldn't just address these foot fetishist issues in a more constructive way instead of banning all foot pics. That's like taking away someone's right to free speech because of what one person did, you know? Not cool .

i think its kinda harsh banning foot pics altogether... i mean, isnt it supposed to be about freedom & connection with nature? but at the same time, i get whats goin on - infiltrations & safety concerns can ruin the vibe of any community . maybe theres a happy medium here, like designate certain times or places where no pics are allowed (e.g. private chats or personal updates)? idk, just think its an interesting conundrum

I mean, can you imagine if they banned pictures of dogs in a dog lover's group? It just doesn't make sense, right? I get that they want to protect their community from unwanted attention, but banning full-body shots is just too restrictive. And honestly, who needs to see someone else's toes all day? But at the same time, I can understand why they'd want to keep some people out – those foot fetishists gotta go! Still, it's a bit harsh on the community members who just wanna share their passion for barefoot living without fear of judgment. Maybe they should've just reported the weirdos and left the rest alone?
