South Florida Weather Forecast: A Mix of Sun and Rain Ahead
Saturday will be a great day to enjoy the outdoors, with plenty of sunshine expected and temperatures near 80 degrees. However, those planning to hit the beach should be aware of some windy conditions and moderate rip currents along the coast.
As we head into Sunday, a weak front from the north is forecast to bring partly cloudy skies and warm temperatures for most of the day. But don't get too comfortable β a few showers could pop up later in the evening ahead of the front's arrival.
Next week looks like it will be quite different, with a more active weather pattern taking hold. The Sunday front will stall over South Florida, leading to increased clouds and showers. And then on Wednesday, a stronger low-pressure system will ride across the area, bringing another round of rain and thunderstorms to the region.
By Thursday, a strong cold front will sweep through, bringing heavy showers and maybe even some thunder. While this may be a welcome relief for the parched region, it's also a good reminder that the rain can bring much-needed moisture. And by Friday, things will take a turn sharply colder, with an even stronger shot of cold air possible by next weekend.
