NHS to pay 25% more for innovative drugs after UK–US zero-tariff deal

🤔 This deal just shows how out of touch our politicians are with reality... like, £3 billion a year? Are they serious?! We're already struggling to fund the NHS, let alone throw more money at pharma companies. 🤑 And what's with this "life-saving new drugs" nonsense? How many of those treatments have actually been proven effective and won't just create new problems down the line? 💊

Ugh, this is so not ideal 🤕... just when we think we're making progress on healthcare, the government's gotta go and agree to pay more for meds. I get that innovative therapies are super important, but £3 billion a year? That's crazy! 💸 What about all the people who can't afford these treatments in the first place? It sounds like the US is basically pushing us around, and now we're gonna have to foot the bill... or rather, our NHS patients will 🤕. Can't we just negotiate better deals or something? 😩

I'm not sure why they're making us pay so much more for these innovative medicines 🤔... like, I get that it's gonna help patients get life-saving treatments, but come on, 25% more? 💸 That's a lot of cash. And what really gets me is the NHS already has to deal with funding issues, so now they're gonna have to raid their budgets for care services too 🤕... I'm not saying we should just ignore this, but can't we find a way to make it more affordable without breaking the bank? 💸👀
