Newly Released Photos Reveal Disturbing Glimpse into Epstein's Private Island
The House Oversight Committee has released previously unseen photos and videos of Jeffrey Epstein's private Caribbean island, providing a "disturbing look" into the life of the late convicted sex offender. The disturbing images were made public in response to a request from lawmakers seeking information to aid their ongoing investigation.
Among the newly revealed material are dozens of short videos and still photographs showcasing various areas of the compound. One particularly bizarre room features an old-fashioned dental chair, Ikea-style metal cabinets, and nearly a dozen caricature-like male face masks arranged irregularly on its walls.
Other images depict a desktop computer displaying surveillance footage of the property; a bedroom in the compound; a shower room with several pillows; a room with a chalkboard bearing the words "power" and "deception"; and a desk telephone with redacted names.
Members of the Oversight Committee obtained these images from the US Virgin Islands Department of Justice, following a request made on November 18 for information to aid their investigation into Epstein's crimes.
"We are releasing these photos and videos to ensure public transparency in our investigation and to help piece together the full picture of Epstein’s horrific crimes," said Rep. Robert Garcia, the top Democrat in the committee.
The images have been described by Oversight Democrats as offering a "harrowing look behind Epstein’s closed doors" and an invitation for the public to "see for themselves". The Committee also received records from J.P. Morgan and Deutsche Bank, which will be reviewed and made available to the public.
As part of their ongoing investigation, the Committee is calling on President Trump to release all unclassified files related to Epstein within 30 days.
