i'm skeptical about Hicks being a unifier, we've seen too many church leaders try 2 be friends w/ everyone & end up getting left behind

so yeah i was thinking about this new archbishop coming in and it's like he's got some good points to make about being more relevant to people these days... but at the same time i'm not sure how well he'll actually do with all that "unity" stuff going on. New york city is a crazy place and i don't know if anyone can really bring everyone together 
. and what's with this whole thing about him being fluent in spanish? it's like, yeah that's cool and all but we've got plenty of spanish speakers around here already 
. still, i guess only time will tell how he'll do as archbishop... 
. I think it's great that Archbishop Ronald Hicks is fluent in Spanish and can connect with the diverse crowd in NYC. It's about time the church adapts to our increasingly multicultural society. 
I mean, can you believe it? A bishop from Illinois who speaks Spanish is taking over the church here 
Like, what if he needs to speak English for some reason? Or what if there are like 5% of people in NYC who only speak Spanish?
