‘MythOS’ and ‘Wink’ Filmmakers Debunk AI Myths at Sundance: ‘You Can’t Make a Great AI Film on Your Lunch Hour’

🤔 I'm loving how Sundance is highlighting the human touch behind these AI-generated films! Taryn & Momo are totally killing it with their storytelling and creativity 💥. People need to stop worrying about AI replacing humans in the creative department - those two are proof that collaboration is key 🌈.

And let's be real, AI tools can only do so much... if someone can't handle the pressure of pre-visualizing an entire film on a tight deadline (O'Neill, I'm talking to you 🤯), then maybe they shouldn't be making films in the first place 😂.

I also appreciate Momo's no-nonsense approach to AI filmmaking - she's all about embracing the tool and using it as a means to an end, not getting bogged down by technicalities 🎨.

This panel is giving me so much hope for the future of filmmaking... let's keep pushing those boundaries and telling more stories that inspire and uplift! 💖

idk why ppl think ai can just magically make a movie on its own lol 🤣 these two girls are proof that you still need people who care about storytelling. taryn o'neill and momo wang did some crazy stuff with firefly and other tools, but at the end of the day, it's human creativity that makes the movie worth watching. i mean, have u seen the time they took to make a 5 min animation? 🤯 28 days is still 28 days, fam! they're not trying to say ai can do everything, just that it's meant to be used in conjunction with people who actually care about storytelling. and btw, who needs lip-syncing for animal characters when u have talent? 😂

AI is defo not taking over the film industry just yet 🤖. I mean, I can appreciate the tech being used to make films faster, but let's be real, the artistry and creativity of humans are still what makes a movie truly special 🎥. These filmmakers did an amazing job with AI tools, but it was clear that human touch was what made their projects shine 💡.

I love how Taryn O'Neill emphasized the importance of collaboration and teamwork in her project - it's all about finding your tribe and working together to create something awesome 👫. And let's not forget that human experience is what makes stories relatable, so I'm glad both filmmakers were able to tap into their personal experiences to create something authentic 📚.

AI will definitely change the game, but I think we need to slow down and appreciate the artistry that comes with it - not just the tech itself 🙅‍♂️. And can we please discuss how copyright and attribution are going to work in this new era of filmmaking? 🤔

AI can be super powerful but lets be real, its not like magic... 🤖🔮. I mean, both Taryn and Momo are using these tools to create amazing stuff but at the end of the day, its still got to come from a human with a vision 📺. I love that they're pushing back against the myth that AI can do it all on its own 💪. But honestly, how many of us have actually worked on a project with AI tools and seen the magic happen? Maybe one or two people in this room have used AI to create something amazing 😅. The rest of us are just starting to figure out how to use them effectively 🤔.

AI filmmaking is lit 🤩! Taryn & Momo are low-key genius 🙌. I mean, who needs a whole month to create a whole film when you can whip something up in 28 days? 😂 But for real tho, human creativity trumps AI tools any day 💪. It's all about collaboration & finding your tribe 👫. Let's celebrate the art of storytelling in the age of tech 🎥👍
