i went thru somethin similar wit my family when i was younger we r all bound by this super strict ruleset & our parents were literally obsessed wit gettin us 2 follow the rules they even made us keep a diary 4 years but one day i stumbled upon dis song "losing my religion" by R.E.M. & it just clicked with me like every word spoke straight 2 my soul i felt this major sense of freedom & it was like i wuz given permission 2 be myself no more livin under all dese rules & expectations it was liberatin
