Motability scheme to drop BMW and Mercedes as it aims to buy UK-made cars

Ugh, I'm a bit torn about this one 🤔. On one hand, it's awesome that they're trying to give more love to UK-based manufacturers and create new jobs - that's gotta be a good thing for the economy, right? 💸 And if it means Nissan gets a boost and Mini sees some investment, that's just peachy 🎉.

But on the other hand... what about all those disabled folks who are gonna have to shell out more cash for their leases because of higher insurance premiums and VAT? That doesn't seem too cool 😒. I mean, I get why they're trying to support the industry and all that, but maybe there's a way to make it work for everyone, you know?

Still, I guess it's progress and all... 🙏 Who knows, maybe this means we'll see some more electric vehicles on the roads soon? That'd be pretty rad ⚡️. Fingers crossed they can find a balance between supporting local manufacturers and not breaking the bank for their customers 😊

🚗🇬🇧 I think this change is a step in the right direction for the UK car industry 🙌! It's about time we started supporting our own manufacturers and giving those skilled workers more opportunities 💼. Of course, there might be some teething issues with VAT and insurance costs, but I'm sure Motability Operations will find a way to make it work 🤔. The benefits for Nissan and other British-built vehicles are huge 🚀, and who knows, maybe this shift will even lead to more affordable cars for the general public in the long run 💸!

🚗💸 I think this is a great move by the UK government to boost the manufacturing sector! 🙌 It'll not only create new job opportunities but also give disabled drivers more affordable options for getting around. The fact that Nissan and Mini are already seeing an increase in demand for their vehicles is a good sign for the industry. However, I do hope they don't raise insurance premiums too much, that would be a bummer for everyone involved! 😬
