Mohamed Salah in Liverpool squad for Brighton match on Saturday

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has been given the nod by head coach Arne Slot to play against Brighton at Anfield this Saturday. Positive talks between the two parties have resolved any issues that had arisen, and the Egyptian international will be available for selection in the Premier League match.

However, tensions between Salah and Slot had escalated earlier this week. In a news conference after Liverpool's 3-3 draw against Leeds, Salah claimed that his relationship with Slot had broken down and that he had been "thrown under the bus." He even went as far as to say that Saturday's game would be an opportunity for him to say goodbye to Anfield and that he had invited his mother to attend.

Slot, however, had a different story to tell. In a pre-game news conference on Friday, the head coach said there were "no reasons to not want Mohamed Salah to stay" at the club. He also stated that he would have a conversation with Mo about his future at the club and that the outcome of that conversation would determine how things will look.

Despite the recent drama, Salah has been an unused substitute in two of Liverpool's past three Premier League games, missing out on the opportunity to score crucial points for the team. His last start was in the 1-1 draw against Sunderland, where he played as a substitute and scored once.

Salah is set to depart for the Africa Cup of Nations on Monday and will likely return to Merseyside after the final on January 18th, potentially missing up to eight Liverpool games if Egypt reaches the final. The forward has scored five goals in 18 appearances this season.

With Salah back in contention, Liverpool will be looking to improve on their recent form, which has seen them draw two successive league matches. The team faces Brighton at Anfield with a 3pm kick-off on Saturday.

Ugh man... I'm getting old 😩. Remember when Gerrard was playing for Liverpool and we thought our lives were complete? Now, Salah's drama is all over the news again. It's like dΓ©jΓ  vu from that time in 2014 when Suarez made a similar move 🀯. What happened to those good old days of football where you'd just play your heart out? I mean, come on, Arne Slot, just tell Mo what you really think and be done with it πŸ˜‚. And Mo's all upset because he thinks he's being "thrown under the bus"? Please, we've seen that before... in 2009 when Benitez sacked Fowler πŸ™„. Anyway, I'm excited to see Salah back on the pitch, even if he does have a history of making headlines πŸ˜‰. Can't wait for Saturday's match against Brighton!

man I'm so hyped for Salah's return 🀩! he's been such an important player for us this season and it's crazy how things escalated between him and Slot, but i guess those drama-filled games are over now πŸ’₯. anyway, it's awesome that the talks have resolved and Salah is back in the mix - let's hope he can make a real difference against Brighton πŸ¦…!

OMG, I'm so hyped for Mo Salah's return to the pitch this Sat! πŸ€©πŸ”΅ He's been an absolute game-changer for Liverpool, and we all know he's got that clutch gene πŸ”₯πŸ’ͺ. The drama with Arne Slot was a bit intense, but I think it's all water under the bridge now πŸŒŠπŸ’¦. Mo's been open about his struggles, and we should be supporting him every step of the way πŸ€πŸΌπŸ’•. Can't wait to see him back out on that pitch, scoring goals for fun πŸ˜„πŸ”΄οΈ! #MoSalah #LFC #FootballFever

idk why he's being dramatic about this πŸ€”, just play the game like normal and focus on scoring some goals for the team πŸ˜‚, don't go all psycho on us now πŸ’€, we get it you wanna leave in January, calm down Mo πŸ‘Š

OMG u guys I just saw the latest update about Mo Salah and I'm like totally confused πŸ€”! One sec I thought he was out for good but now its all sorted? I dont get why the drama tho, one minute he's saying he wanna leave Anfield next game and the next minute he's back in contention πŸ˜‚. And lol what is with all the talk about him scoring crucial points? Mo Salah is like the savior of Liverpool right now πŸ”₯πŸ‘

Man, I was worried sick when I heard about the drama between Mo Salah and Arne Slot 🀯😩. I mean, Mo's been one of Liverpool's best players for years, and now he's just talking like he's planning to leave?! 🚫 That talk about saying goodbye to Anfield was really uncool πŸ˜’.

But, I guess it all worked out, and Mo is back in the squad πŸ™Œ. And can you believe how harshly he's been treated? Missing out on so many games because of that Africa Cup of Nations thing πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ... I mean, I get that it's a big tournament and all, but still! 😩

I'm just hoping Mo gets his head back in the game (literally πŸ˜‰) and starts scoring again. We need him to fire up those Liverpool attacks! πŸ”₯ And with Brighton coming to Anfield on Saturday, this is our chance to get some crucial wins back πŸ’ͺ. Fingers crossed Mo's back to 100% for that one 🀞

omg u guys i just can't even right now lol so there's this drama between Salah and Slot and it's like totally wild πŸ˜‚ Salah is literally threatening to leave the club after the Brighton game 🀯 he said something about saying goodbye to Anfield and inviting his mom to come watch him last time he played... meanwhile Slot is like "hey no worries Mohamed we just wanna have a chat" πŸ€” but honestly who knows what's gonna happen between them now Salah is getting back in the squad tho so fingers crossed for Liverpool πŸ‘

Omg what's going on with Mo Salah πŸ€”? He was saying he wanted to say goodbye to Anfield and his mom was coming but then the coach says there's no reason why Mo shouldn't stay πŸ™…β€β™‚οΈ... can we believe either of them now? 😐 I don't think Mo would just leave like that, especially after all the goals he's scored this season 🀯 5 goals in 18 appearances is not bad at all! πŸ˜„ I'm guessing there must be some more to the story and I wanna know what happens next... will Mo start against Brighton? 🏟️

Salah's drama is soooo overhyped πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ lol I mean, come on, the guy's just trying to get game time and score some goals πŸ†. Slot saying there are no reasons for him not to stay? πŸ‘ totally fair. Salah can't even blame his lack of playing time on anyone else, he needs to step up his own game ⚽️. And btw, if he says goodbye to Anfield this Saturday, that's just a big fuss over nothing πŸ™„. The team just needs him back in the lineup to get some wins under their belt πŸ’ͺ.

Ugh, I love watching Mo Salah play, but can we talk about how drama-filled this guy's career is? 🀯 One minute he's saying goodbye to Anfield, the next he's back in contention and ready to rock. I mean, I get it, tensions with Slot need to be resolved, but come on, Mo! πŸ’β€β™‚οΈ Can't you just chill for one second?

And honestly, can we talk about how overrated Salah is getting? πŸ€” I mean, five goals in 18 appearances isn't that impressive when you consider Liverpool's team depth. Don't get me wrong, he's a great player, but let's not forget there are other talented players on this squad too.

I do love the fact that Slot is having an open conversation with Salah about his future, though. That shows some transparency and willingness to work things out, which I appreciate. Fingers crossed they can get their relationship back on track and Salah can score some crucial goals for us! 🀞

OMG 🀯, can you believe the drama between Mo Salah and Arne Slot?! 😱 I mean, I thought it was over when they sorted out the issues, but apparently not! πŸ’β€β™€οΈ Salah saying goodbye to Anfield? Come on! 🚫 He's one of the best players in the league, we need him on the pitch! πŸ”₯ And now that he's back in contention, Liverpool are going to have a great chance of beating Brighton at Anfield. I'm so hyped for this match! πŸŽ‰ The team was drawing two successive games, so this is just what they needed – Mo Salah back in action and scoring goals! πŸ’ͺ

so salah's drama with slot is like, super weird lol πŸ˜‚πŸ€”. i think slot was just trying to keep salah calm and focused on the game, but salah took it to the next level 🚨πŸ’₯. anyway, it's good that they've resolved their issues for now, and salah gets to play against brighton this saturday πŸ†βš½οΈ.

i feel bad for slot, tho, 'cause he was just trying to be diplomatic πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ. but at the end of the day, salah's the one who's been under pressure to perform, and now he gets another chance to shine πŸ”₯πŸ’ͺ.

the key is that salah's return could give liverpool a boost ⚑️, especially if they can capitalize on his goal-scoring prowess πŸ“ˆ. fingers crossed for saturday's match! πŸ‘
