Mika Zibanejad keeps climbing Rangers’ record books after latest goal in bounce-back season

New York Rangers center Mika Zibanejad is rewriting the franchise record book with each passing game, as he continues to break down barriers and push his teammates to achieve new heights. The Swede's latest goal in a 4-2 win over the Ottawa Senators marked his team-leading tenth of the season, bringing him closer to tying Ron Greschner for seventh-most points in Blueshirts history.

Zibanejad credits his recent success to the team's cohesive effort, saying that they've been playing to their strengths on the road. "We know the level we're capable of," he stated, "and it's not going to be perfect every night, but I think the foundation of our intentions were there, and it was there today as well." The 31-year-old praised his teammates for their persistence, noting that they were pressing too hard in the third period.

The Rangers are currently on a five-game point streak, with Zibanejad posting nine points over his last eight games. With two power-play goals left to tie Chris Kreider and Camille Henry for the franchise record of 116, the Swede is well on his way to achieving this milestone. His impressive form has earned him top spot in power-play goals with six, while he ranks third in assists with eleven.

The Rangers have made some notable moves in recent weeks, including signing goalie Spencer Martin to a two-year deal. The 30-year-old has had success in the Kontinental Hockey League, posting a 5-6-0 record with a 2.69 goals-against average and .905 save percentage over 14 games.

The Blueshirts are set to face off against the Avalanche on Saturday, followed by a back-to-back slate at Madison Square Garden later that night against the Golden Knights. With Zibanejad leading the charge, the Rangers will look to continue their winning streak and stay in contention for the playoff spots.

I think it's awesome that Mika Zibanejad is breaking records left and right! He's definitely a key player for the team, and his dedication to working with his teammates is paying off. I love how he credits the team's cohesion as the reason for their recent success 😊. It's clear that everyone is on the same page and playing to their strengths. The recent signings of Martin and other players have also made a big impact, it's like they're building towards something special! 🎉 Can't wait to see what happens in the next games, especially against the Avalanche 💪

It's wild how Mika Zibanejad is rewriting those franchise records, but what really gets me thinking is that success like his isn't just about individual talent, it's about the team's collective effort & chemistry 🤔💡 He's always talking about playing to their strengths on the road, but does that mean they're finally finding a rhythm that transcends the rink? Is that what 'cohesive effort' really means in this context?

Wow 🤩 this guy's hot streak is crazy! 10 goals already this season and he's on track to break some big records. The team's chemistry seems to be paying off, it's awesome to see them playing well together 💪. Spencer Martin signing a two-year deal is also a great move, he looks like an upgrade in net 🙌. Bring on the Avalanche game on Saturday, this one's gonna be intense! ⚡

Wow 🤯, Mika Zibanejad is on fire this season! I mean, ten goals already and he's closing in on a franchise record? That's insane. The team's cohesion on the road has been key to his success, and it's awesome to see him give credit to his teammates for their hard work.

Interesting 🤔, have you seen Spencer Martin play before? Signing him to a two-year deal is a smart move by the Rangers, and I'm curious to see how he'll adjust to the NHL. The upcoming games against the Avalanche and Golden Knights are going to be intense, but with Zibanejad leading the charge, I think the Rangers have a good shot at staying in contention for playoff spots. 💪

I'm loving how Zibs is dominating out there! 10 points already this season and he's not done yet 🤯👍 His leadership on the ice is infectious, it's amazing how he's pushing his teammates to raise their game too 💪. The team's recent signings like Martin look solid as well - they're making some smart moves to bolster the roster. And let's be real, who doesn't love watching a 31-year-old Swedish superstar break records and make highlight reels happen 😎. The Rangers are on fire right now and I'm hyped for their upcoming games! 🔥

omg Mika Zibanejad is on fire right now 🚀💥! his team effort has been super impressive & it's awesome to see him crediting his teammates for the wins 🤝. but seriously, this guy's stats are insane - 10th goal of the season already? he's well on his way to tying some serious records 📈. and can't wait to see what happens when they take on the Avalanche & Golden Knights next! fingers crossed for the Rangers 🤞

I'm loving this Zibanejad's momentum 🚀! He's such a clutch player and it's awesome to see him kill it on the ice 💪. The team's really clicking right now and I think they've got a good shot at making some noise in the playoffs 🤞. Spencer Martin signing is a nice move too, goalie depth is always important 🙌. Rangers-Avalanche game should be lit 🔥!

🏒️ Mika Zibanejad is on fire right now! He's breaking all sorts of records for the Rangers and it's awesome to see him having so much success. I think what's really paying off is that the team is playing as a unit, working together and using their strengths to outmaneuver opponents. It's great to see Zibanejad crediting his teammates for their role in their recent wins! With these power-play goals left to go for him, he's gonna tie some serious history... 🤩

I'm loving how Mika Zibanejad is on fire right now 🚀! His team effort and cohesion are really paying off, and it's awesome to see him pushing his teammates to new heights. However, I do think they need to work on their power play defense - those two power-play goals left to tie the record could be a bit nerve-wracking for them 😬. And signing Spencer Martin might not be the answer to all their goaltending woes... he's had some decent numbers in the KHL, but can he replicate that in the NHL? 🤔 Still, it'll be interesting to see how the team performs against the Avalanche and Golden Knights! 💪

omg i cant even believe mika zibanejad is getting so close to tying that franchise record its like he's on fire every time he steps onto the ice 🤩💥 his team effort is really inspiring, it shows they're all on the same page and that's what makes them so hard to beat. the rangers are on fire rn and i'm so hyped for the games coming up esp against the avalanche and golden knights ⚡🏒

I think it's dope how Mika Zibanejad is pushing his teammates to be their best selves on and off the ice 🤝. The fact that they're playing cohesively as a team, knowing each other's strengths and weaknesses, is making them nearly unbeatable right now ⚔️. It's awesome to see Zibanejad leading by example, being so humble and praising his teammates for their hard work 💪. And can you believe the Rangers just signed goalie Spencer Martin? That's some big moves 🤑. With this winning streak going on, I'm predicting they'll make a deep playoff run ⏰.

I think the Rangers are really coming together as a team, especially with Mika Zibanejad leading the way 💪! He's been on fire lately, breaking all sorts of records and pushing his teammates to step up their game 🏒️. I love how he's giving credit to the entire team for their effort, it shows they've got a great chemistry going on 💬. And signing Spencer Martin as goalie is gonna be huge, I'm hyped to see how he'll do in the games 😆. The Rangers have some tough opponents coming up, but with Zibanejad and his crew leading the charge, I think we're gonna see some awesome hockey ahead ⚫️!

I mean... think about it, this Mika Zibanejad guy, he's like the embodiment of a team's collective energy 🌟. He's not just putting up stats, he's influencing the way his teammates play. It's almost as if he's reminding them that when they work together towards a common goal, magic happens 🔮. The fact that he's breaking records and pushing for more is just a testament to how far this team has come.

It's also interesting to see how Zibanejad's recent success is linked to the team's cohesion on the road 🚗. It makes you wonder what would happen if they could replicate that same level of performance at home, where they often struggle 🔴. The fact that he's praising his teammates for their persistence in the third period just shows how much trust and respect there is within the squad.

I guess what I'm getting at is that this team's success is more than just about individual achievements 🤝. It's about creating a culture where everyone can thrive and work towards a common goal. And Mika Zibanejad, he's right at the forefront of it all 💪.

I gotta say, Mika Zibanejad is on fire 🔥 this season! But let's keep things in perspective, he's not breaking any records yet 🤔. I mean, tying Ron Greschner for seventh-most points in Blueshirts history is cool and all, but it's still a long way from the top spot 🏆. And don't even get me started on the power-play goals - two to go? Easy peasy, right? 😂 Just kidding, Camille Henry and Chris Kreider have been killing it for years! The key is consistency, folks 💪. And with Spencer Martin joining the team, that's gonna be a fun matchup against the Avalanche 🎉.

just think about it... mika zibanejad's on fire 🔥 like he's got a superpower or something! but seriously though, his teammates gotta keep up the good work too 🤝 can't have him doing all the heavy lifting alone. and that new goalie signing? huge boost for the team 💪 now if they just manage to tie those power-play goals... it'll be crazy 😲

Ugh, I'm so over the NHL stats page on this forum 🤯🏒️. Can't they just simplify the layout already? I swear, every time I try to check out Zibanejad's latest goal-scoring streak, all I get is a wall of text that's just too much to handle 😩. And don't even get me started on the "records" section... who cares about the franchise record of 116 power-play goals? Can we just have a plain old leader board already? 🙄

And what's with the excessive use of emojis in these articles? I mean, I get it, they're trying to be fun and engaging, but come on, less is more here 😊. A simple 👍 or 👎 would suffice.

Can someone please just give me a plain text version of the news without all the bells and whistles? My eyes are tired of scrolling through all that unnecessary info 🙃.

I think Mika Zibanejad's recent form is pretty impressive 🤩. It's great to see him breaking records and pushing his teammates to perform better. The fact that he credits the team's cohesive effort on the road is really refreshing - it shows he understands how important teamwork is in achieving success.

The addition of goalie Spencer Martin sounds like a solid move for the Rangers, but I'm curious to see how it'll impact their overall performance. Will they be able to maintain this winning streak against tougher opponents? 🤔 One thing's for sure, though - Zibanejad's determination and work ethic are definitely paying off.

I'm loving how Mika Zibanejad is taking his game to new heights 💪! The fact that he's pushing his teammates to work together towards a common goal is so inspiring 🤝, it's not just about him getting points, but also about the team coming together and achieving something special as a unit. And I'm curious to see how the recent signings of Martin and maybe others will affect their playoff push - could they be the missing piece to help them secure a spot? 🤔

Mikka's on fire 🚀💨, gotta see if he can keep it up, 116 points is a big deal 💥, but they got some tough games coming up ⚔️, hope they're ready 🔒, Zibanejad's leadership is key 🔗.
