Mary Earps: 'I don't look back with bad blood. It worked out well for everybody'

Mary Earps' relationship with her former England teammate and manager Sarina Wiegman deteriorated after Wiegman turned to another goalkeeper, Hannah Hampton, for support. The energy shift between the two was noticeable to the rest of the squad, who felt that something was off but couldn't quite put their finger on it.

Earps said that she had tried to be supportive and open-minded about Hampton's distribution skills being superior, but ultimately decided to stay with the team out of loyalty to Wiegman. However, Earps expressed her disappointment in Wiegman, saying that she didn't feel valued or heard during the decision-making process.

Despite their differences, Earps maintains a positive relationship with Wiegman and has spoken about the importance of forgiveness and moving forward. She also expressed her gratitude for the support of her partner Kitty, who has been by her side through difficult times.

Earps is now focusing on her career with PSG and has recently published a memoir, "All In", which details her experiences as a female footballer in a male-dominated sport. She is determined to continue playing at a high level, even if it means freezing her eggs in the hopes of becoming a mother one day.

Throughout our conversation, Earps was composed and without bitterness, discussing her past experiences with Wiegman and the rest of the England squad. Despite the challenges she faced, she remains optimistic about her future and is determined to continue pursuing her passion for football.

😊 I'm so inspired by Mary Earps' courage & dedication to her craft. I think it's amazing that even though things didn't work out with Sarina Wiegman, they're still on good terms πŸ€—. That takes a lot of maturity & class. I love how she's using her platform now to share her story & inspire others with her memoir "All In" πŸ’–. It's clear that Mary is all about moving forward & pursuing her dreams, even if it means taking some tough steps like freezing her eggs πŸ€°β€β™€οΈ. She's living proof that you can bounce back from setbacks & come out stronger on the other side πŸ’ͺ. I'm sending all my love to Mary & her partner Kitty πŸŒΈπŸ’•

I'm still trying to figure out this whole social media thing... like what's up with Instagram? πŸ€” Anyway, I think Mary Earps' situation with Sarina Wiegman is pretty wild. I mean, who knew goalies could be so drama-filled? πŸ˜‚ But for real though, it's sad that their relationship fell apart over something as important as team chemistry. I feel bad for Earps, she seemed really down-to-earth and humble about the whole thing. And can we talk about how inspiring it is that she's focusing on her career and publishing a memoir? πŸ“šπŸ’ͺ I mean, who wouldn't want to be a pro footballer, right? πŸ€ But also, I feel like a part of me wants to know what's going through Earps' mind when she's freezing eggs... like is that really something you think about on the pitch? πŸ˜‚

I gotta say, I'm a bit surprised that Sarina Wiegman didn't even consider Mary Earps when choosing Hannah Hampton as her new go-to goalkeeper πŸ˜’. It's like, you've been part of the team for so long and have given your all to it, but suddenly you're not good enough? That gotta be pretty tough to swallow πŸ’”. But hey, at least Earps is taking the high road and focusing on her own career with PSG πŸ™Œ. And props to Kitty for being an amazing support system - she sounds like a real rockstar ❀️.

can u believe sarina wiegman's decision to turn to hannah hampton? like earps did try to be super supportive but it feels like wiegman just didn't value her opinion anymore πŸ€”... anyway, i'm glad earps is focusing on herself and moving forward - she seems like a really strong person, and i love that she's still optimistic about the future 🌟. also, 100% psg bound? πŸ‘

I feel so bad for Mary Earps πŸ€•, I mean, she's clearly a pro athlete who's giving it her all on and off the field. The drama with Sarina Wiegman must've been super tough to deal with, but you know what? Earps handled it like a total boss πŸ’ͺ - staying in the team out of loyalty, expressing her feelings, and still being positive about everything 😊. And can we talk about how inspiring it is that she's got a memoir out already, sharing her story with all of us πŸ“š? I hope she gets to achieve all her goals, including having kids someday 🀞... freezing eggs might not be the most fun thing to think about, but if it means becoming a mom, she'll do whatever it takes πŸ’•!

πŸ€” Mary Earps seems like a total legend - I mean, who else can just leave it all behind and still manage to come out on top? The fact that she's so committed to her career and her personal life is really admirable. And I gotta say, her memoir "All In" sounds like a must-read for anyone who loves football (or even if they don't, lol). The way she handled the whole situation with Wiegman was pretty impressive too - it's not always easy to just let go of something that's got you feeling down. Kudos to her for staying positive and focused on what really matters πŸ™Œ

OMG 🀯 I'm literally shook by Earps' honesty about what went down with Wiegman! I mean, who wouldn't be upset when someone makes you feel like you're not valued or heard? It's crazy how the squad noticed the energy shift and couldn't quite put their finger on it, but now we know why... πŸ˜’. And can we talk about how supportive Earps' partner Kitty has been?! πŸ‘«πŸ’• I love that Earps is focusing on her career with PSG and writing a memoir to share her story - it's so empowering! πŸ’β€β™€οΈ But omg, freezing eggs at 30? πŸ’€ Is that even real life?! 😱 Anyway, I'm rooting for Earps to continue slaying the football game and making us all proud πŸ†πŸ’–.

omg u no how hard it is 2 b a woman in footy πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ! Earps' story is like, so inspiring πŸ™Œ. I mean, u feel her on one hand she's loyal 2 Wiegman but on the other she didn't get the respect she deserved from her own team. It's defo not easy 2 deal w/ that kinda situation πŸ˜”.

anywayz i think Earps is a total boss for speaking out and being open about her experiences πŸ—£οΈ. And i love how she's focussed on her career now & is like, "hey, I'm still got this!" πŸ’ͺ. freezing eggs 2 b mom one day tho? that's like, so random lol πŸ˜‚. but seriously Earps is an icon & i'm defo rooting 4 her πŸ™Œ

I gotta say, I'm kinda sympathetic towards Mary Earps here... I mean, who wouldn't want a supportive teammate in their corner? But at the same time, you've got to admire Sarina Wiegman's confidence in her own abilities and decisions... like, if she thinks Hannah Hampton's distribution skills are superior, that's not something to dismiss lightly. Still, Earps' loyalty is admirable & I'm glad to see her moving forward with a positive attitude. 🀝
