. But what really gets me is that it took a guilty plea to even get this guy some justice 
. And 3 years of supervised release? That's still too lenient for me

. Eight years in prison is a serious sentence, but I guess it's necessary to make an example out of Bell since he and his accomplices were willing to use violence against someone just to get what they wanted

and the fact that they had to live thru this is just heartbreaking 
, can't believe this guy got off that easy! Eight years is a slap on the wrist for something so violent. I mean, pistol-whipping someone's head is literally assault, let alone carjacking.

and $14k restitution? doesn't even cover half the cost of a decent used car 
. the thing is, ppl do this stuff all the time and we need stricter laws and better punishments, not just some token sentencing 
. btw, why did they have to make it so complicated with 3 accomplices? makes it sound like some sorta heist movie

. It's also crazy to think about how much of a impact this can have on people's lives - one wrong move and you're dealing with life-altering consequences 
. And what really gets me is that he got off easy with only $14k in restitution

. I mean, good for him for owning up to his mistakes and all, but 8 years is a long time to be locked down... meanwhile, our roads are still super sketchy and carjackings are still super common
