Man hospitalized after prescribed grass burn in NW Harris County, fire marshal's office says

Man Hospitalized After Suffering Burns in Northwest Harris County Fire, Officials Say Prescribed Burn Was the Cause.

A prescribed grass burn in northwest Harris County on Monday left one man hospitalized with injuries, according to authorities. The fire broke out near the 14000 block of Warren Ranch Road in Hockley and burned through fields.

The Harris County Fire Marshal's Office confirmed that a man was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Katy after suffering burns from the fire.

According to officials, the fire was intentionally set by the landowner for prescribed burn purposes. Firefighters were on the scene, assisted by investigators from the Harris County Fire Marshal's Office, to control the blaze.

The incident has raised concerns about the risks associated with prescribed burns and the need for proper safety measures to prevent accidents.

Details regarding the man's condition have not been released at this time.

just when u think summer is gonna be chill, a prescribed burn goes wrong in harris county πŸ€•πŸ˜¬ its like, we get it, landowners wanna keep their grass from getting outta control but can't they do it without risking lives? πŸ™„ and now someone's stuck in the hospital πŸš‘πŸ’‰ with 3rd degree burns... that's just not right πŸ’”

πŸ€• Ugh, I'm just worried about that guy πŸ™. Prescribed burns can be a great way to manage vegetation, but it sounds like something went horribly wrong here. Like, what if they didn't follow the safety protocols properly? Or maybe the wind was blowing in the wrong direction and it got out of control 😬. I get where landowners want to do their part for the environment, but you've gotta be careful! It's not just about setting a fire and hoping for the best πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ. You need to make sure everyone involved is safe and that the burn doesn't end up causing more harm than good πŸ’₯. This incident is a good reminder to take precautions seriously πŸ‘.

Ugh, gotta wonder what was goin' through that guy's mind 🀯, intentionally startin' a fire in an area where people are out and about... I mean, I get it, prescribed burns are meant to be done with caution, but shouldn't the landowner have double-checked the weather conditions and made sure everyone was clear of the area? 🌑️ At least they had firefighters on site, that's a major plus! πŸ’ͺ Still, gotta feel bad for the guy who got hurt #BurnSafetyMatters #PrescribedBurnsCanBeRisky

Wow 🀯, can't believe someone got hospitalized from a prescribed burn lol! Sounds crazy but I guess it's good they had firefighters on scene. Safety first right? Interesting how these controlled burns can go wrong, gotta be careful with those matches πŸš’πŸ”₯

πŸš’ just saw this news about that fire in northwest Harris County... so crazy that a prescribed burn can go wrong like that 🀯! I mean, I get it, they're trying to do what's good for the environment and all that, but safety should always come first, you know? πŸ”₯ Those firefighters were on scene ASAP and did their best to control the blaze, but accidents can still happen. Hopefully, the guy who got burned is going to be okay 🀞... my heart goes out to him! 😬

πŸ”₯🌳 u know i think prescribed burns can be super beneficial for the environment but they gotta be done right πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ. like, if it's not controlled properly and ppl dont follow safety protocols then its gonna end in disaster 😬. idk how many times we see news about some poor soul getting hurt cuz of a careless fire πŸ”₯. anothr thing thats worrying me is how do landowners even get trained to do prescribed burns safely πŸ€”? i mean, i hope the dude who got hospitalized gets better tho πŸ’• and im all for finding ways to protect our forests but we gotta be smart about it πŸ™

OMG, THIS IS SO SCARY!!! 🚨πŸ’₯ I mean, i get that prescribed burns are a thing, but its just crazy that someone got hurt so bad! like, isnt there some sort of safety protocol or something to prevent accidents? i feel bad for the guy who got burned, hope he recovers soon!

i can understand why ppl would think it was reckless, though... if u r gonna set fire to a field, shouldn t u be super careful about what s happening around u? idk, maybe its just me being paranoid, but its always better safe than sorry, right?

anywayz, hopefully the authorities are lookin into this and takin steps to prevent something like this from happenin again. safety first, ppl! πŸ€•πŸ’ͺ

πŸ€•πŸ˜· Oh no! Burnt by a prescribed burn πŸŒΏπŸ’¨ that's crazy! I mean, I get it, landowners do these burns to maintain the health of the fields and all, but like, what if someone gets hurt? πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ It's gotta be super careful when doing those kinds of things. πŸ”₯ I hope the guy recovers from his injuries soon πŸ™, that sounds really painful. πŸ˜“ And yeah, it makes sense that there would be concerns about safety measures not being in place, like, what if someone wasn't even supposed to be around? πŸ€” Not sure why this happened, but let's just hope it doesn't lead to more fires or accidents... πŸš’πŸ’¦

Ugh I'm still shaking thinking about that fire πŸš’πŸ˜¬. I mean, who wants to be a lab rat for science just to get a tan? 🀣 Prescribed burns are one thing but what if it gets outta control? I feel bad for the guy who got hurt πŸ€•. Can't we just stick to regular ol' lawns and not mess with nature? πŸŒΏπŸ‘Ž

just heard about that prescribed burn gone wrong in harris county πŸš’πŸ˜¬. gotta be super careful when it comes to those controlled fires, ppl think they can just set fire to the grass and everything will be okay... newsflash: it's not that simple πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ. someone ended up with serious burns, who knows how many more accidents could've happened? need better safety protocols in place, imo πŸ‘. hope the guy recovers from his injuries πŸ™. can't believe ppl still don't take prescribed burns seriously... πŸ˜’
