A young father's life has been cut short in a shocking case of child abuse that led to the fatal death of an infant in Roseland. The 23-year-old Anthony Evans is now facing a staggering murder charge as he was taken into custody on Monday.

According to authorities, the 2-month-old baby boy was found unresponsive and later succumbed to his injuries on April 28. Following an investigation, police concluded that the child's death was indeed caused by homicide, which ultimately resulted from severe physical abuse inflicted upon him.

I don’t usually comment but I just can't help thinking about what happened with this young family... 2 months old, gone. It's like, one minute you're here, and the next... no more. I know a guy who's related to the mom of that baby and she's literally breaking down over here!!! like her son is Evans' cousin or something anywayz, it's just so sad 2 think about that little lil boy goin through all that pain & suffering . ugh, parents should be super careful w/ kids, no matter how old they r... this guy needs 2 take responsibility 4 his actions I'm kinda hopin he'll get the max sentence 4 what he did
