Ugh, this is soooo concerning ... I mean, come on! Can't they just leave people alone? This is like a slippery slope right? If DHS can just get anyone's info because they're "investigating" something, that's basically an open invitation for them to target anyone who disagrees with them. I know we have the right to free speech online, but this takes it to a whole new level ... And what's next? Are they going to start tracking down people who post memes about ICE on Twitter too? No way!
This whole thing is just getting out of hand! I mean, come on, who wants unlimited subpoena power? It's like they're trying to chill free speech on social media . I get it, ICE can be a tough agency to deal with, but do we really need the government snooping around our online activity? The fact that Meta is refusing to give up user data without more clarification from DHS just shows how concerned they are about protecting their users' rights. I'm all for criticism and debate, as long as it's within the bounds of what's considered acceptable in a democratic society. Let's not let fear of retaliation silence us online!
this is getting serious , can't believe our govt is trying to control what we say online . if they want to crack down on ppl criticizing ICE, maybe they should focus on fixing the system instead of suffocating free speech . social media platforms gotta stand up for their users' rights too
