JBL’s Grip Is a Bluetooth Speaker With Lava Lamp Vibes

JBL's Grip is a portable Bluetooth speaker that embodies the perfect blend of compactness, light weight, and robust functionality, replete with its striking LED light show. Measuring in at 32% smaller than the JBL Flip 7, this compact powerhouse boasts an enticing price tag of $100.

Measuring just 0.8 pounds, the Grip is a speaker that will make throwing it into your backpack feel like child's play. But what truly sets the Grip apart from its competitors is its ability to withstand the elements - a testament to JBL's renowned commitment to ruggedness and durability. With an IP68 rating, this diminutive speaker can confidently face dust and water, though unfortunately, it doesn't float.

Standing alone in terms of design, the Grip has only one major variation from its sibling speakers: its orientation. While the Flip 7 boasts versatility in both vertical and horizontal orientations, the Grip is exclusively designed for vertical use. Though it's perfectly fine to lay the speaker down without any ill effects, using it this way might limit your access to certain controls.

The Grip has proven itself to be an impressive sound producer, rivaling its bigger brethren in terms of volume and clarity. Despite having a slightly smaller soundstage than the Flip 7, the Grip produces clear audio that could fill even large spaces at moderate volumes. However, pushing it too hard can result in distortion - something you'll need to be mindful of when tuning into JBL's custom EQ feature.

When paired with its own brand’s Auracast technology, the Grip does become a useful tool for streaming music from one speaker to another or tuning into public broadcasts. In this regard, it performs admirably and can even bridge any audio gaps between speakers that don't share compatibility.

I think JBL's Grip is pretty cool 🤩! I mean, who doesn't love a portable speaker that's also super tough? 😂 It's great that it has an IP68 rating, which means you can take it on the go without worrying about it getting ruined in the rain or snow. That's definitely a major plus for anyone who likes to listen to music outdoors.

I'm also loving the design - it's so sleek and compact! 📦 I might have been annoyed by the fact that it's only designed for vertical use, but I can see how that would make it easier to carry around. And yeah, the sound quality is pretty impressive too - it's definitely one of my top picks for a portable speaker.

One thing I'd say is a bit of a bummer is that it can get a bit distorted if you turn up the volume too high 🎵. But overall, I think JBL's Grip is an awesome addition to their lineup and I'm excited to see what they come out with next! 💥

I'm low-key obsessed with JBL's new Grip portable Bluetooth speaker 🤩💻! The compact size (32% smaller than the Flip 7) is perfect for tossing into my backpack 🎒, but what really impresses me is its ruggedness - IP68 rating and all that 💪. I can already imagine it surviving a camping trip or beach day without any issues 🏕️.

One thing to note is that it's exclusive vertical use design might limit some features, but honestly, it's still super convenient 📲. The sound quality is on point too - clear audio and decent volume for its size 🎵. Just be careful not to push it too hard or you'll get distortion 😬.

And can we talk about the Auracast tech? 🤔 It's so cool to be able to stream music between speakers or tune into public broadcasts 🔊. Perfect for road trips or outdoor gatherings 🚗🎉. Overall, I'm stoked on JBL's Grip and think it's a solid addition to their lineup 👍

💡 I'm loving the idea of a portable Bluetooth speaker that's both compact and durable! 🙌 The fact that JBL's Grip is IP68 rated means you can toss it into your backpack without worrying about it getting damaged in the rain or snow ❄️. However, I wish they'd included more features like wireless charging or a built-in power bank to make it even more convenient. 📈 Also, the exclusive vertical design might be limiting for some users - what if you want to use it as a bedside table speaker? 😴 Still, the sound quality is impressive and the price point of $100 is super reasonable! 💸 Can't wait to get my hands on one and take it on the go 🏞️!

I don’t usually comment but I gotta say, $100 for a Bluetooth speaker is kinda steep 🤑. I mean, I've seen similar ones from other brands that are almost half the price and still pack some serious sound quality. That being said, the Grip does seem like it's got some solid features going on - IP68 rating and all that jazz 💪. But for me, I'd need to hear it in person before I'm willing to shell out the cash 🎧. And yeah, exclusive vertical use is a bit of a bummer, but like you said, it's not a huge deal if you don't mind laying it down sometimes 😊. Overall, I think the Grip is a solid option for anyone looking for a portable speaker, just might need to weigh the pros and cons before making a decision 🤔.

I got my hands on the new JBL Grip speaker and I gotta say, it's a beast in its own right 🤯! For $100, you get a speaker that's not only tiny (0.8 lbs, yeah!) but also ridiculously waterproof - I tested it out in the rain and it still sounded amazing 💦. The sound quality is on point too, it's got more clarity than I expected for its size. But what really sets it apart is its ability to connect to other JBL speakers and broadcast via Auracast - it's like having your own personal DJ booth 📻! My only gripe is that the EQ feature can get a bit wonky when you push it too hard, but overall I'm loving this little guy.

OMG, you guys! I'm literally obsessed with JBL's new Grip speaker 🤩 - like, who wouldn't want a portable Bluetooth speaker that's both tiny and totally waterproof? I mean, the fact that it's 32% smaller than the Flip 7 is kinda mind-blowing. But what really gets me pumped up is how well it performs sound-wise - clear audio for days! 🎵 Only downside is you gotta be careful not to push it too hard or it'll get all distorted 🙅‍♂️.

And, yaaas, the Auracast tech is genius! Like, who wouldn't want to stream music from one speaker to another? It's like having your own personal sound system wherever you go 🌟. Plus, the fact that it can even bridge audio gaps between incompatible speakers? That's just pure magic ✨.

Can we talk about how cute this little guy is too though? The LED light show is everything 🔥! I mean, I know some people might be all about the big and bulky sound systems, but honestly, I think this Grip speaker is the perfect size for a spontaneous dance party in the park 🌳.

OMG I'm so down for JBL's Grip as my next portable Bluetooth speaker 🎧! It looks like a total beast with those LED lights 🔥. The price tag of $100 is super reasonable considering its ruggedness and small size, it's literally the perfect travel buddy 👫.

I've been hearing mixed reviews about this speaker, some people saying it's not as loud as the Flip 7, but I think that's a minor trade off for the IP68 rating 🌊. And honestly, who needs to be able to float their speaker in the pool anyway? 😂 It's great that JBL is committed to making speakers that can withstand the elements.

One thing I do wish it had was more flexibility in design, but vertical use only isn't a major deal breaker for me 🙅‍♂️. And yeah, I've tried using it horizontally and it works just fine, but I guess you do have to compromise on some controls 😐.

But overall, the sound quality is pretty impressive for its size 🔊. The custom EQ feature is super handy too, especially when paired with Auracast tech 📻. Can't wait to try this thing out myself!

so i just got my hands on jbl's grip and gotta say its a beast 🤖...like literally 0.8 pounds lol but seriously, the fact that its ip68 rated means you can take it anywhere without worrying about it getting ruined in the rain or whatever.

i was a bit skeptical about the design tho, i mean its not like they could've made it more versatile than the flip 7, which is already super cool...but hey, being able to toss it in your backpack and just go is def a win 🎒

and lets talk sound quality - i'm pretty impressed! its definitely got some nice oomph to it, and thats even with the slight distortion when you push it too hard 🤦‍♂️. but honestly, that just means you gotta be more mindful of how loud youre playing it.

auracast tech is also super cool imo - being able to connect this thing to other jbl speakers or public broadcasts is pretty sweet...i can see myself using it for outdoor events or camping trips 🏕️🎵

Just got my hands on this JBL Grip thingy 🎧 and I gotta say, it's a beast in its own tiny package 🔥! The fact that it's so light and compact is genius - I can toss it in my backpack without even thinking about it 😂. And don't even get me started on how tough it is... like, I just splashed some water on it and it's still working 🌊.

But yeah, the sound quality is top-notch too! I was blown away by how clear and full it is... perfect for camping trips or anything like that 🏕️. And with Auracast, it's super convenient to stream music between speakers or even connect to public broadcasts 📻. Not bad for a speaker that's under $100, if you ask me 💸!
