I'm not sure if this is a game-changer or just a pause button for the conflict in Syria... 
I mean, they're setting up a comms channel, which is great and all, but what's to stop Israel from just launching another attack on Syria as soon as no one's looking?

. But seriously, it's a good start. I guess it shows they're willing to listen to each other and work out some issues. I'm curious to see how this plays out in practice tho

That's gotta help with all the misunderstandings and miscommunications that've been going on. And it's nice to hear the US is supervising everything, that's some good leadership

. Of course, there are still many details to iron out, but if this can lead to a suspension of Israeli attacks on Syria, that's a huge win

. I mean, we're talking about decades-long tensions here, and just setting up a comms line isn't gonna magically fix everything. It's a good start, don't get me wrong, but it feels like they're just trying to paper over the issues rather than really addressing the underlying problems.
. That's not exactly gonna help things when you've got a history of repeated attacks on Syria that's still unresolved. It feels like they're just trying to get out of their own guilt and responsibility by setting up some fancy comms line and calling it a day.
