Iran warns US against attack as protest death toll reportedly soars

Iran has issued a stark warning to the US, urging it not to launch a military attack amid escalating unrest in Iran, where hundreds of people have been killed and thousands more arrested during two weeks of protests.

Protesters are demanding an end to economic mismanagement, corruption, and what they claim is a dictatorship under Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. The regime has responded with force, resulting in widespread violence and loss of life, according to human rights groups. These organizations have reported that at least 538 people were killed in the violence, including 490 protesters.

The US President Donald Trump said he would "rescue" protesters if Iranian authorities killed them. He vowed support for the protesters on social media platforms, claiming that Iran was looking towards freedom like never before and warning Tehran against any further aggression from Washington.

Trump's team is set to meet on Tuesday with options including military strikes, cyber warfare and widening sanctions being considered as possible responses to the protests. Iranian officials have rejected these plans, stating that if Washington launched an attack, both Israel and US interests in the region would be legitimate targets.

Protesters are now facing a brutal crackdown under strict martial law, with protesters frequently coming into contact with security forces armed with military weapons. Several videos circulated on social media show how large crowds of protesters were brutally suppressed by authorities using tear gas.

The situation remains volatile, with Iranian activists in the United States sharing distressing messages and footage of protesters who have been killed or injured during the unrest. Despite efforts by human rights groups to gather credible data, the exact number of casualties is still unclear due to a nationwide internet blackout that prevents outside observers from accessing information within Iran.

US senators echoed Trump's call on social media, saying Iranians' long nightmare was nearing its end. In contrast, Iranian officials have accused foreign powers, including the US and Israel, of fanning unrest in the country.

๐Ÿ’ฅ I'm low-key worried about this situation escalating further... like, we all know how volatile Iran is, but Trump's words are kinda fuelling the fire ๐Ÿš’๐Ÿ‘Š The more US involvement, the more Iran might feel like they're under siege. And from what I've seen on Twitter, some of our senators are getting a bit too hyped about this - let's not forget we don't know the whole story here ๐Ÿค It's like, yeah, protesters have every right to be mad about economic mismanagement and corruption, but using tear gas and killing hundreds of people? That's just wrong ๐Ÿ˜”

Ugh, this is gonna get messy... ๐Ÿค” I mean, think about it, Iran's basically asking the US to hold back on a potential intervention, but at the same time, they're warning that Israel and US interests would be legit targets if we do launch an attack... ๐Ÿšซ That sounds like a recipe for disaster. And what really gets me is that Trump's just trying to sound heroic by saying he'll "rescue" protesters, but it's all just hot air at this point. I mean, where's the plan? It feels like everyone's just winging it and hoping for the best... ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

๐Ÿค” This whole situation is super worrying... I mean, 538 people killed? That's crazy! ๐Ÿ™…โ€โ™‚๏ธ It's like Trump thinks he can just swoop in and save the day, but what about the consequences? ๐Ÿ’ฅ The fact that Iranian authorities are basically saying they'll consider Israel and US interests a legitimate target if there's an attack from the US... that's a whole different level of escalating the situation. ๐ŸŒ† I don't know about you guys, but it seems like things are gonna get REALLY ugly if something goes down. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

Omg what's going on in Iran?! ๐Ÿ˜ฑ They're literally being crushed by the government and it's so heartbreaking to see all these ppl dying & getting hurt ๐Ÿค• I feel like the world is watching but we can't even access info because of that internet blackout ๐Ÿ”’ It's crazy how Trump is taking a stand but also kinda enabling the situation with his "rescue" tweets ๐Ÿ™„ The protests are for real freedom & an end to corruption, not just some US politics game ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ I'm hoping someone will come up with a peaceful solution soon ๐Ÿ’•

I'm not buying all this drama about Trump wanting to "rescue" these protesters ๐Ÿ™„. It's just a clever PR stunt to justify his own meddling in Iran's affairs. Mark my words, if he starts bombing some Iranian targets, it'll be a whole lot more than just protests that get destroyed ๐Ÿ”ฅ.

And have you seen those protest videos? People getting slammed with tear gas and batons ๐Ÿคฏ. It's like the authorities are trying to recreate a war zone right in their own streets. I'm not surprised Iran has cracked down hard โ€“ they can't let this dissenting voices disrupt the status quo, after all ๐Ÿ’”.

These "options" Trump is considering? Cyber warfare? Military strikes? Sounds like just another excuse for him to flex his muscles and show off his hawkish side ๐Ÿšซ. What about actually listening to Iranian concerns and trying to broker a peaceful solution? That's not exactly the kind of leadership we need in Washington ๐Ÿ˜’.

And let's not forget those human rights groups are only getting half the story โ€“ what about the US's own role in fanning these flames in the first place? They're just as much to blame for this mess as anyone else ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ.

man this is getting outta hand ๐Ÿ™…โ€โ™‚๏ธ the US is always quick to jump in with words of support but what's the real plan here? military strikes or cyber warfare? that's just gonna make things worse, more innocent ppl get hurt ๐Ÿ’” and for what? so the protesters can say they stood up for freedom? already happened back in '09-11, remember? it was all just a bunch of tweets and empty promises from Obama ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ now Trump's talking about "rescuing" them... good luck with that buddy ๐Ÿ˜’

Ugh ๐Ÿคฏ I'm getting so tired of these politicians making empty promises on social media ๐Ÿ“ฑ... Like, "rescue" protesters? What does that even mean? Is he just going to send some drone strikes or something? ๐Ÿ˜ฌ And what's with all the warnings and threats from Trump's team? Can't they just let the situation unfold like normal humans? ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ The whole thing feels so scripted, you know? ๐Ÿ’โ€โ™€๏ธ

๐Ÿšจ๐ŸŒช๏ธ honestly can't believe whats happening in iran atm... thousands killed or arrested just cuz they wanna make some noise about the economy & corruption... and now its all getting super violent with tear gas & military weapons being used on protesters ๐Ÿค• meanwhile trump is basically saying hes gonna send in the cavalry if things get bad but isnt he the one who messed up iran's economy in the first place? ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ and whats up with these senators saying Iranians are finally free when they clearly have no idea what life is like under strict martial law ๐Ÿ’”... just a whole lot of chaos & bloodshed over here

omg u guys like iran is literally burning ๐Ÿ˜ฉ๐Ÿ”ฅ protesters are fighting for their lives but trump's team wanna launch a military attack ๐Ÿคฏ what about all those ppl who got killed already? ๐Ÿ’€ 538 and counting apparently ๐Ÿ˜ฑ meanwhile iranian officials r saying that usa & israel would be targets too... like, can't we just talk it out instead of bombing each other?? ๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ‘Š

I'm really worried about what's happening in Iran right now ๐Ÿค•. It sounds like things are getting out of hand with the protests and the government's response is way too harsh. The thought of hundreds of people being killed or injured is just heartbreaking ๐Ÿ˜”. And it's not just that - the fact that there's a whole internet blackout going on, which makes it impossible for us to get accurate info, is super concerning ๐Ÿ“Š.

I'm also skeptical about all the talk of "rescue" and "support" from Trump and other US officials... sounds like more propaganda to me ๐Ÿคฅ. What exactly do they plan to do, apart from tweeting some empty promises? And what's the real motive behind it all? I don't trust these plans one bit ๐Ÿ’”.

It's not just about Iran or the protesters, though - this is also about the whole global situation ๐ŸŒŽ. If we're talking about intervening in someone else's country like that, we need to think really carefully about what we're doing and who's being affected... and what our own interests are playing a part in all of this ๐Ÿค”.

OMG, what's going on in Iran?? ๐Ÿคฏ It's like, totally crazy! I'm all for freedom and stuff, but at the same time, you gotta be careful not to escalate things, right? ๐Ÿ’ก Trump is all about rescuing these protesters, but it feels like he's just stirring up more drama. Like, what if his team actually goes through with a military strike? ๐Ÿค” It could get super messy and lead to so much bloodshed. I'm keeping an eye on this situation, hoping that someone can find a way to bring peace back to Iran ASAP ๐Ÿ’•

๐Ÿšจ I'm really worried about what's happening in Iran right now ๐Ÿค•. It sounds like things are getting super violent and no one is being held accountable for the deaths and arrests ๐Ÿ˜”. The fact that Trump is saying he'd "rescue" protesters if they get killed by Iranian authorities is crazy talk ๐Ÿ™„ - I mean, can you imagine if someone just showed up out of nowhere to save everyone? It's not that easy ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ.

I think the US and other countries need to take a step back and try to find a peaceful solution to this crisis instead of threatening more violence ๐Ÿ’ก. The fact that Iranian officials are saying foreign powers are behind the unrest is probably true, but doesn't mean we should be escalating things ๐Ÿ”ฅ. We need to support the protesters' right to free speech and an end to corruption, but without resorting to military action ๐Ÿ™…โ€โ™‚๏ธ.

It's also super concerning that the situation is still so unclear due to the internet blackout - how can we know what's really going on? ๐Ÿค” Human rights groups are doing a great job of trying to get information out, but it's not enough ๐Ÿ˜•. We need everyone to be talking about this and demanding action from their governments ๐Ÿ‘Š

.. what's going on with Iran right now? ๐Ÿคฏ I mean, I remember reading about those protests back in 2018 when Trump was still president ๐Ÿ˜…, but this is getting worse by the day. The way the government is cracking down on protesters, using tear gas and military force... it's just not right ๐Ÿšซ. And now with martial law and a nationwide internet blackout, it's like they're trying to suffocate the people under there ๐Ÿคฏ. I hope someone does something about it soon ๐Ÿ‘Š. The US should be all over this, supporting the protesters and holding the government accountable for their actions ๐Ÿ’ฅ. It's not just about Iran, though - it's about human rights everywhere ๐ŸŒŽ.

man this whole situation is so messed up ๐Ÿคฏ...i mean like protesters are fighting for their rights and freedom but the government is just using force to silence them...it's like, don't they want what's best for their people? ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ i'm not gonna take sides or anything, but it seems like both sides are kinda in the wrong here...the protests do seem justified though - all those deaths and arrests can't be right ๐Ÿšซ...and what's with this whole "rescue" thing from trump? does he really think he's gonna just swoop in and save the day? ๐Ÿ˜‚ like, no one really knows what's going on in that country anyway...so yeah, i'm just hoping it all gets sorted out peacefully or something ๐Ÿคž

๐Ÿค• this is so heartbreaking what's going on in Iran it feels like they're being suffocated under a massive weight of oppression... Trump's response is just worrying - think about the long-term effects on US-Iran relations if things escalate into full-on war ๐ŸŒช๏ธ I feel so bad for the protesters who are fighting for their rights, it's like they're being crushed by an iron fist ๐Ÿ’” and what really gets me is how hard it is to get accurate info due to that internet blackout... human rights groups are doing their best but it's not easy when you're up against a regime that's actively trying to hide the truth ๐Ÿ•ต๏ธโ€โ™€๏ธ
