International law meant to limit effects of war at breaking point, study finds

😱 this is super worrying - it feels like we're constantly reading about some new atrocity happening somewhere and it's just not getting better 🤕 the fact that there are over 100k innocent lives lost in just 18 months is insane... i think what's even more shocking is how complacent people seem to be with all this going on, like everyone's just shrugging and hoping someone else will step up to do something about it 🙄

i'm all for the proposed measures like banning arms sales to countries with a clear risk of committing war crimes or stricter regulations on drone use, but we need to do more than just talk about it 💬... our leaders need to take real action and start holding people accountable for these atrocities 💪
 
🤔 The thing is, we all know that international law can only take us so far when it comes to preventing wars and protecting civilians. I mean, let's be real, most governments are gonna do what they want anyway 🙄. But still, the fact remains that these atrocities are happening left and right, and it's crazy to think that we're not doing more to stop 'em.

I'm not saying it's all one big conspiracy, but... okay, maybe I am a bit 😏. Seriously though, if governments aren't gonna step up and regulate themselves, then who will? The only way this stuff is gonna change is if people demand action, and we're talking about some serious grassroots movement here 🌟.

And btw, have you seen the numbers in Gaza? 18,592 kids killed? That's just insane 💔. It's not even like it's a new thing – these kinds of atrocities have been happening for years. What's changed? Nothing, apparently 😡. So yeah, I think this report is spot on – we are teetering on the brink of collapse if we don't do something about it 🚨.
 
idk about this... 🤔 i mean, on one hand, its super sad to see all these innocent lives lost & atrocities being committed in wars. but at the same time, cant just blame int'l law for everything - its been around for decades, tried to prevent these things from happening. maybe we need to rethink our approach or something... 🤷‍♂️ i mean, banning arms sales? stricter regulations on drones & artillery? sounds all good in theory, but how do u enforce it? 🚫 also, isnt it a bit unfair to just pin the blame on int'l law when ppl in power are doing nothing about it? 🤔 we need to be more critical of ourselves before criticizing others... or maybe im just being too optimistic... 😒

I think the proposal to introduce bans on arms sales to countries at risk is a good starting point, but we need more than just policy changes. We need real action from governments and institutions to hold people accountable for these crimes. It's not like it's rocket science, but it feels like we're stuck in this cycle of violence and impunity.

I'm worried that if we don't do something about this, the consequences will be catastrophic 🌪️. I mean, what's the point of having international law if we can just turn a blind eye to war crimes? It's time for us to take responsibility and demand more from our leaders 😒
 
🤕 this is really concerning, i feel like we're living in a perpetual state of war and it's only getting worse... the stats on children being killed in gaza are just heartbreaking - 18,592 can't even be made up... what can we do to prevent these atrocities? introducing stricter regulations on drones and artillery use might be a good start but it seems like it's gonna take so much more than that 🤔
