Brandi Carlile's Hosting Gig Could Be a Singing Opportunity for Miles Teller - But is He Ready?
In a series of hilarious promos released by Saturday Night Live, it seems like Brandi Carlile is taking over as host from her originally scheduled replacement, Miles Teller. However, if this happens, there's one thing that might put Teller on notice: his singing abilities.
The latest promotional material features Ashley Padilla jokingly giving Teller a hard time about not commenting on her new haircut during an interview. When Carlile chimes in and praises the singer's style, it becomes clear who really has the upper hand here - Brandi Carlile.
But what happens next is even more amusing. Padilla matter-of-factly informs Teller that he's now the host of SNL, only for him to respond nonchalantly, "I can sing."
Given that at least Keith Urban believes in Teller's singing abilities (as seen during a 2016 concert where they dueted on The Temptations' classic hit "My Girl"), it seems Carlile might be leaving the door slightly ajar. However, considering her own impressive repertoire of songs and awards, including eleven Grammy wins, this could be an area where Teller still needs to improve.
Regardless of whether or not Teller is able to hold his own with Carlile's powerful voice, one thing is certain - Brandi Carlile is going to bring the house down as host of SNL. With a new promotional solo album, Returning to Myself, under her belt and a track record that speaks for itself, this should be an episode worth keeping an eye on.

. The girl's got talent pouring out of every pore - 11 Grammy wins and a voice that can move mountains. I'm curious to see how he'll hold up against her, though. I mean, who hasn't been belted by the mighty Brandi Carlile?

I'm just thinking, if Miles Teller does end up hosting SNL it'll probably be more entertaining with Brandi Carlile by his side
