How Universities Used Counterterror Intelligence-Sharing Hubs to Surveil Pro-Palestine Students

The eyes that know all see nothing at all 🙅‍♂️. When you combine a university's desire for free speech with law enforcement's enthusiasm for surveillance, it creates an environment where students are constantly on edge.

Universities need to find ways to balance national security with student safety and expression. If the government is going to partner with universities, they should at least make sure that IP addresses aren't being tracked without warrants 🚫. Students shouldn't feel like their First Amendment rights are being monitored just because there's a Middle Eastern conflict brewing.

It's time for some real transparency about what these fusion centers do and who's on their watchlist 🔍.

🚨 I'm really worried about our kids' rights to free speech on campus 🤯. Just because some students might be expressing a differing opinion doesn't mean they're going to cause trouble or even pose a threat to national security. The fact that universities are now using counterterrorism hubs to monitor pro-Palestine students is just a slippery slope for suppressing dissenting voices altogether 💔. It's already happening in Ohio and other states - we need to speak out against this kind of overreach and protect our universities from becoming surveillance states 🚫. As parents, it's especially hard not to feel anxious when we see our kids' futures being potentially shaped by decisions made by adults who don't seem to care about their well-being or freedom to express themselves. We need to stay vigilant and demand that our schools are a place of learning, not surveillance. 📚💡
